I can't find the post where someone recommended not to DC with it on dry hair due to cones? I (a newbie) have no idea what a cone even is? ANy info will be appreciated whether or not it's cool to apply KC Humecto on dry air.

You can use any conditioner on dry hair :yep:

Cones are basically what gives you slip in conditioners. The down side is that using them too much causes a film or buildup of cones on your hair, and this film blocks out moisture. Eventually your hair will dry out. BUT all ya gotta do is clarify and voila, the cones are gone :D

I clarify/chelate monthly and have never had a problem. I lurve cones

Newbie is raising her hand!!!!! What is slip?

The ability of your comb to glide effortlessly through your hair after a conditioning treatment. The conditioner leaves the hair very very soft and manageable.

And in answer to the OP's question, as Tiffers already stated, any conditioner can be used as a DC on dry hair. I use all the ones I have, I simply take turns with them:yep:. I have Keracare Humecto and use that as well.

GOt it thanks. I'm gonna research past posts and see if KeraCare is good for that then (vs. Kenra, AO, and the other products) Thanks Ladies.
