I overnight dc with neutrogena triple moisture. I know the label says 3 to 5 minutes[I believe] I don't think a couple hours will hurt:lachen:

Girl, we here at LHCF don't read no instructions! We use products how we WANNA use them! :lachen:

It'll be okay :yep:

:perplexed I dont know if keeping the conditioner on overnight is such a good idea. I say this cause I speak from experience. If your hair has enough protein in it, then it should be ok. If not, the water in the conditioner will cause the hair shaft to swell making the hair weaker when you try to manipulate( like washing it out for example) this can lead to breakage.

But it's up to you.:yep:

hmm, this is very interesting. i guess it's a little too late now. there is no way im dealing with my hair at 1.30 in the morning. guess i have to wait in the morning/afternoon to see how it comes out. thanks for your help though!

Hi! Have you tried MIZANI H2O Intense Night-Time Treatment? It's a specific overnight conditioner. It's more expensive than NTM ($16 bucks) but well worth it. In fact, I'm using it now!

i have been wanting to try this treatment for the past few weeks. I know some ladies swear this treatment stops breakage overnight. I think I'm gonna check my bss tomorrow for it. If they dont have it, I will be ordering it online. I'm sure its worth the 16 dollars. anything for healthy hair! thanks for the recommendation!

it is. I've heard different things about overnight dcing. I thought it would actually benefit my hair.hmm:ohwell:

I've done it before (many times) so I can say from personal experience it has done my hair well. It may be different if you're relaxed though. I still do castor oil overnight on wet hair...but that's probably different because castor oil doesn't have water in it.

My biggest prob with overnight conditioning is that I have a sensitive scalp and by morning my scalp is so irritated and itchy from having that conditioner sitting on my head so long. I hope it goes well for you though.

How'd your hair turn out?

I've dc'd overnight countless times, my hair always comes out great and I'm relaxed :yep:

I've used the NTM overnight - I added a little EVCO to it - just being extra. It came out just fine. :yep:

hey ladies! glad to say when I rinsed out my hair at 2 in the afternoon(i love me some sleep!) my hair was veryyyyy moisturized. I would do it again, but not with the plastic cap because it kept making noise every time i moved. but other then that, I had close to no breakage which is really odd while my hair is wet. So dc overnight did me well! thanks!
