This is a great idea to get waves...

Very interesting. I would say moisturize your hair like crazy beforehand and use a silk or satin cloth. Will you post pics if you do it????

Apparently it's called "ragging". I was thinking for us, of course these rags would be of a silkier material and doused in oils lol!

I'm in braids right now Manushka & planning to BC next month, so I won't able to try something like this for a while. But maybe I'll try it out on my DD.

Sounds like a plan. My hair is not long enough to even think about ragging...lol. I do love those waves though.

Her hair looks fabulous. I've seen something similar done using flexirods in some book on natural haircare that I bought many years ago.

I'm going to be trying this with my weave soon. It seems like an easy enough method and her results are great.

That's pretty. Not sure it would work on my hair or that I could figure out how to do it though.

This is nothing new. My mother taught me about this. She said that black women used this method in the 40/50s because they couldn't afford the rollers. I am sure it works on shorter hair too.

Wow, I might try this while I'm still freshly relaxed..I'VE GOTTA STOP LOOKING @ THESE STYLES. I was planning on going into my bun again after rollersetting this weekend.

Cute - basically making a huge braid with a rag - I bet if you beebutted/bantuknotted them afterwards, you'd have super full and thick waves/curls.

LOVE IT! I may try this instead of rollers. Not sure how well it will work but I'll give it a shot.

Word? I had no idea. Learn something new everyday. :grinwink: This is good to know!
