ok Here's the deal, I purchased it a few weeks ago at a local walgreens for $1.25 plus tax. After I purchased it I decided not to use it because it was so cheap so it could not possibly be that good. Today for some strange reason my hair felt like build up heaven so I decided to try it being that I am not going anywhere, I just finished using it and this shampoo is a keeper, I could actually feel all the build up weight lifting off my hair. Using this shampoo today just lets me know that just because things are cheap doesnt mean its not a good product. It also lets me know that everyones hair is different and reacts differently to all products expensive or cheap. Anyone else out there use this shampoo as a claryfier and likes it, let me know?

Well after joining this forum, I was informed that I need a clarifying shampoo which I have never used before. I just used regular shampoos. Anyway, I bought Suave Clarifying Shampoo at Walgreens too for 99 cents plus tax (a great deal for a 27 fl. oz. bottle)

. I have not used it yet but when it's time to clean up the build-up in my hair, I will use it.

Dont be fooled by the price! This stuff can cure an icky hair day and let you start over shiny and clean

Im glad Im not the only one who likes it.Pooh bear I hope u get the same wonderful results as the rest of us. I am planning on shamooing with it every time before I use my regular shampoo's which are CON, Optimum and elasta QP, and especially with the CON, now I love this shampoo but can u say build up.

I love Suave's Clarifying Shampoo. Its very gentle and it cleans. Its one shampoo I always repurchase when I run out.

I was in the same boat as you Patrice. I picked it up this weekend. This was my first time using a clarifying shampoo...EVER!!! I tried it and i seriously only needed a pea-size amount in my hand and it gave a rich lather with no problems. I too felt the buid-up being washed away and it really brought out my new growth while I was massaging my hair. For only a dollar and some change, it's definitely a keeper. I followed up with the Suave Milk-n-Honey Conditioner, but it didn't react to my hair (left it kinda hard), so I guess I'll have to use my CON or Pantene the next time!

I'm reviving this old thread because I just used the Suave Clarifying shampoo. This is the first time I have ever clarified. Because it was so cheap and said it was a daily clarifyer I figured it wouldn't do much. I knew I had a lot of build up plus I had just learned about the deposits that can be left on the hair after a no lye relaxer. So, after I neutralized, I washed again with the clarifyer and then went on to do the whole OCT treatment routine. I bunned my wet hair and went on about my business. This morning when I took the bun down, my hair was bouncey! Now, I don't mean it was like the guy in the Aussie shampoo commercial, but it had a good amount of bounce to it and felt really silky smooth. For my hair to have any bounce to it at all is really unusual under any circumstances. I'm guessing that the cleansing of the suave helped the other products take better on my hair. I don't know.

I like this shampoo as well. I usually follow with CON green to regain some of the moisture. I also deep condition after using this product.

I love Suave Clarifying. Whenever my hair has a lot of buildup, I wash with this and it helps my rollersets to come out bouncier and my hair dry faster.

I always DC after using it too.

I use it a week before i get my perm (every 3 months) or if my hair feel like it has to much build up. I have never used it more than once a month though.

Anyway it is great and one of my staples.

Sometimes I think the same thing. The clean slate allows my products to take so much better.. I hope it's true cause it sure feels like it. I do like Suave. I read somewhere someone said it was a chelating shampoo, is that true, does anybody know? I only use it once a month though. I can't clarify all the time cause it does strip the hair a little, or a lot, depending on your hair, I guess

I also had great results with it as well. I like VO-5 kiwi clarifying shampoo as well. That one is hard for me to find.
