So far, my hair seems to be striving:grin:!! However, my only problem now is to figure out what's the best thing to do when your hair is still wet/damped after you've washed and before you dry. Some may say rollerset or comb in a wrap, or just air dry. But, how can you do any of that gently or without so much manipulation on wet/damped hair?? This is the only time when I see some of the hairs come out and I know there's gotta be a better way without destroying your hair. Other than that, my hair seems relatively strong when dry and hopefully u ladies can give me some advice. TIA.

girl i have the same problem now that im transitioning i dont know wat to do with my hair when its wet cuz my relaxed ends dont like being messed with when wet and my roots dont like being dry hopefully someone will take pity on us

I just comb my hair back with a wide tooth comb, put it in a loose bantu knot type bun and secure with a satin scrunchie. That's what I've always done with no problems :yep:

:yep: co-signing

I'll put my products on first (moisturizer, a little WEN, and hairveda oils usually cocasta) then pin hair up or put it in a scrunchie.

I put my in a PONYTAIL avoidin the comb
cuse my hair fine/soft it dont take but a tugle for it to break off
even when it tangle.
i wait at least till its 80% dry to have some strength to it before stylin.

Thanks ladies for the replies. Now, here's the catch, I can't fit a ponytail just yet. Ugh, I know- I'm complicated.

OK.....what does it mean (hair health wise) if your hair takes FOREVER to DRY!

Lately, I noticed that my hair will stay wet/damp even days after I've washed when airdrying. This weekend I finally sat under my dryer just to have completly DRY hair.

Is something wrong? .........How can I fix it?

The key to working with wet hair (especially when rollersetting) is to keep it wet. If my hair becomes damp, that's when I notice a lot of pulling and hair coming out, especially when I use my rat tail comb to rollerset. You must keep that hair saturated by constantly spraying with your water bottle and don't force the comb through. I gently pick it through my hair (per Machiereamour's rollersetting video instructions), and I lose minimum hairs. Last week, it may have been 20 total hairs.

All I do is airdry.....And it has helped me go from APL to WL in a year..

I am very careful with my hair while it is still wet..I use a leave-in and moisturizer then oil...and gently detangle...I air dry in braided plaits ...I will rock a braid-out when dry or un braind when it is just a little damp and wear a bun...

On occasions I will airdry hanging straight down ..And flat iron after it is dry...But that is very rare

Do you airdry your rollersets too?

Thanks ladies for your input. I'm gonna try some of these methods and see if it actually helps. Thanks again!!
