I wasn't sure what i was looking at :lachen: I was like, a rock? And then i realized it was matted hair :barf:
 
uggggghhh, I've seen this pic b4 and it still disturbs me.

That person has got to be homeless. The locks are hard and shiney like they've been plasticized. That doesnt come from lying on a pillow, that's years of concrete right there :(
 
Gosh is it really that serious!! I guess I'm used to seeing this on the street where I'm from but this doesn't make me vomit or laugh at all.

I do believe that on the slave ships slaves could not do their hair becuase their hands were shackled. True this person may not have their hands shackled but they may not have the resources or knowledge to do their hair like we have.

Maybe this person may have wanted their hair to look like this.

There's a lady in Emeryville, CA that walks around and her hair looks almost identical to this. :ohwell:
The irony is that she would walk past the hair salon everytime I was in there. Everybody in the shop would just shake their heads like :nono:.
Something wasn't right with her, and I'm sure the person photographed has a similar issue. I don't think the lady is homeless though. Just out of it.
 
Unfortunately I know a bum in my neighborhood with hair like this, except it's matted all the way up to the scalp. I wonder how much conditioner and long one would have to sit under a hood dryer to unmat those tangles :rolleyes:...:grin:.
