My girlfriend put this in her daughters hair and it came out straight. She likes it for them though.

ETA: There are some reviews in the childrens haircare forum

A friend of mine uses it and it leaves her hair curly. She lied to everyone and told them she was going natural. She finally admitted it by accident.

I used it for a long time. As long as you apply it with your fingers, it won't make your hair straight. You can't use a comb of any kind.

I tried it on my cousin's 4b natural hair, and it straightened it pin straight just like a relaxer would (and I only left it on for 4 minutes). But his hair straightens very easily for some reason. This was during his "I want a blow out kit" phase.

this was my 1st texurizer. i have pics in my fotki.i was straightish at first and curled up after a while. if you want curly hair you cant comb much if at all. in the long run it wasnt worth it.

Its a relaxer it just doesn't say it on the box the ingredients are the same as a perm that's how I messed up my transition.

My mom tried it thinking it would be gentle, went according to the instructions on the box.....her hair fell out. :perplexed

I remember a post about the ph of relaxers, Just For Me was pretty high on the list surprisingly

it made my hair straight!!!! urggg! i have been growing it out since

Same here and it broke my hair off something bad. I put it in last November and I now have about 5 inches of natural hair and I had to cut off about 6 in. of hair from the product making my hair straight.

I USED IT AROUND JUNE WHEN I WAS NATURAL. IT DID SOMETHING WEIRD TO MY HAIR. WHEN WET, IT WAS STRAIGHT, BUT ONCE IT AIR-DRY MY HAIR SHRINKS BACK UP LIKE I DID NOTHING TO IT. MY HAIR WAS SO DRY SINCE I PUT THAT IN AND UNMANAGEABLE, I RELAXED IT AGAIN. :wallbash: ONCE I FINISH MY TRANISITION AND BE FULLY NATURAL AGAIN, I WILL BE SURE TO STEER CLEAR OF THAT. IF I WANT LOOSER CURLS, I JUST USE THE REGULAR TEXTURIZER OR A MILD RELAXER.

I used this in August, trying to keep some texture in my hair.

It came out bone straight.Straighter than any "regular" relaxer had ever gotten it,in under 10 mins.

I did not use a comb:nono:

I started to smooth with my fingers like i always do,and my hair just uncoiled so rapidly that i hurriedly washed the rest of it out.

The thing is that it comes with all that oil,so i was sure it would at least slow something up.NOPE!!!!

I went ahead and bought some Silk Elements relaxer for my next touch up.Since i'm straighter than i intended to be,i figured i might as well go ahead and relax instead of messing w/these fake texturizers:rolleyes:

This is what caused my setback last year. I will admit to bad practices in that I didn't do a test.

It melted my hair off in the 3 minutes that I had it in my hair. I went to touch it and a clump fell off. I rinsed it and my kitchen sink was full of rubbery melted hair. I did everything I could think of to stop the damage from continuing, did a couple protein treatments and still had to cut my hair from waist length to chin. Luckily I didn't feel the need to go any higher on my hair. I've had 2 haircuts since then to get the rest of the damage off, some pieces were still stretchy.

I probably had damaged hair at the time, but I was shocked that it was so harsh that in 3 minutes my hair literally melted.

Yep, I used it on my son to see how it would turn out. It wasn't bad at all. Barely any change. It just left his hair FLUFFY. I used it just as the box said and had NO PROBLEMS.
