I was browsing through the challenges and felt rather uneasy about joining the BSL in 2009 challenge.
I don't think I'll be able to make that with where my hair is right now.

I'm looking for APL by August of 2009.
Anyone else in??????
 
There is one for Decemeber 09 titled "For short haired ladies.....APL by Dec '09 Challenge - Long Hair"

Whatever regimen works for your hair, and will get you there.

Personally, I'm going to be even more on-point with my protective styling, continue my avoidance of heat and chemicals, and keep using my MT. :yep: KISS!
 
You ladies can do it! I just reached full blunt cut APL really this month. It took me from May of 2007 to Sept./Oct. 2008, about 16-17 months!

I'm about six feet tall. Just be patient with yourselves, stay on your A game and it will happen :-)

That's how I felt. I'm past shoulder length, between sl and apl.

I was optimistically in the '08 challenge but it isn't going to happen:nono:, I feel confident I will be full apl by April or May though, at least I am praying :pray:.
 
Hey ladies...I'm all in. I will wear my hair in protective styles 24/7, along with a properly tailored regimen. Oh the excitement!:drunk:

I JUST realized I'm a little past SL in the back..you would think since I comb it everyday I should've known that already!!:wallbash:
I still need to make Collar Bone in the front though:rolleyes:
 
I'm in on this one also... I'm currently in the MBL Challenge as well, but I'd like to keep track of all the other milestones that I can hit during this process.
 
Yeah, I joined the other challenge. I'm down for both, though. Doesn't really matter as long as one of 'em gets me to APL!
 
Count me in! I'm about a 1" from APL, but I want to be completely APL. My front is just a chin level (at my mouth), and my side range from jaw to shoulder length. I want blunt APL length hair all over.... I think I can get there by Fall '09 *fingers crossed*
 
Count me in too...I am in the APL by 2008 challenge but I think early to mid 2009 is a more realistic goal. Who knows, maybe when I come out of these braids in December I will be pleasantly surprised...or should I say ECSTATIC to find I've already reached my goal! Good growing, ladies!
 
I'm a newbie, but have been lurking forever and I think this may be my first or second post since i don't think the last one saved. I'm so in. My hair just hit official Shoulder length. I think I can do it.

I had to get my hair trimmed today when I got a retouch:wallbash:
It wasn't because I didn't take care of my ends, it was simply because the lady who put the relaxer on the first time (today was my 3rd relaxer) didn't take it all the way down to the ends (I was natural before) so my ends looked damaged compared to the roots.
Well today I went from SL to NL:cry:
I'm still trying for APL by 2009 though!:boxing:
My hair looks better and seems to be healthy

I'm in as well. I didn't meet the APL 08 challenge. I have about 2 more inches to get to APL, so hopefully by Aug 09. Good luck ladies!

aaaaaw girl never mind, at least you'll be reaching APL with strong healthy ends. right after christmas i plan on protective styling 24/7, i might even just hide my hair for a while :rolleyes:
