Welcome! I suggest popcorn, bottled water and a comfortable chair. Read until your eyes water, rest, read some more, repeat. There is so much information here that I don't think anyone will be able to tell you everything you'll need to know. Someone more experienced than I can be your guide to getting started, but I know I find myself continually searching here for new answers all the time - everything from reviews on products I see in Walgreens, to new conditioning techniques, to learning how to make a bun... happy journey to you!!

YOUR HAIR IS CURLY.
That's the most important thing to know.
A lot of people get wrapped up in the 3A 3C 4B...
that's not really important...
(but you look to be in the 3B-3C range)
the only thing you need to know is CURLY HAIR NEEDS MOISTURE.
Your hair maybe fine too...
that means you need to go easy on products as they will weigh
your hair down.

CURLY HAIR NEEDS MOISTURE.
CURLY HAIR NEEDS MOISTURE.

That's all you need to know.

What are the best vitamins?

I've tried vitamins... I think they are whack...
that's my opinion...
if you eat a healthy diet than you will be fine
lots of fruits, veggies, water... etc...
you won't need vitamins!

Where are all the Challenges?

YOU SHOULD VIEW THE STICKIES.

I HAVE A BLOG maneandchic.com... you should totally subscribe and feel free to ask me anything my contact info is there. I started it because I too was a newbie and it can be really cumbersome to navigate LHCF... seperating the good from the bad... the fads and bandwagons from the tried and true... so I just pretty much gather everything I've learned in an easy to read format for me to go back and read and to also help other expedite their journey to healthy hair.

I was looking to adopt... maybe...

Hope that helps. Ciao!
