i stocked up today!!!

but it depends on the line.

the following redken liters of shampoo and conditioner are 9.99:

clear moisture
all soft
smooth down
fresh curls
extreme
color extend
(the clarifying one in the white bottle)
body full
blonde glam

but real control is still full price... booooo!!!


and... can wal-mart price match on other store's sale prices? OP let me know!!

Can someone pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease (preferably relaxed 4a/b) let a sister know which Redken lines are the 'best' ones if there's such a thing?

Relaxed fine haired 4A here :wave:

DEFINITELY invest in the smooth down line!! the shampoo cleans very well without any sort of stripped feeling, and it has a TON of slip. it's excellent for detangling.

and the conditioner. lawd jesus. don't get em started on the conditioner.
SLIP FOR DAYS!!!
AMAZING SMELL THAT LINGERS!!!
LEAVES HAIR FEELING SOOOOO SOFT AND MOISTURIZED!!!

and both of those combined with the Butter Treat balm as a leave-in... oh my goodness.

give it a try!!!


also, the extreme line is very nice. i love the conditioner; it has a lot of slip, and smells delicious!!!

and i haven't had the chance to try the extreme shampoo yet... but i cracked open the cap in the store today, and it smelled purely amazing; just like the conditioner.

definitely invest in both lines (or heck, invest in them all!! they'll probably never be this cheap again :lachen:)
 
I like how you put the appropriate colors there. cute! :)

I like that Extreme is on the list. That really is a good post relaxer touch-up line for me.

The clarifying shampoo is the Hair Cleansing Cream.

YES! walmart will price match when the prices are posted, which they ARE in the Ulta insert. You have to bring in the print ad.

I've been fiending for some allsoft and now I'm hearing smooth down is the ish?

What is a fine-haired relaxed 4A to do?

How do you like the Allsoft? I think I might want to try that too. :lachen:
 
I tried a sample when I was in DC. It was at Wegmans.

It was the BIZ! But that was before I found LHCF. I have tried SO many diff products, that it makes no sense. If smooth-down is for "coarse" hair, though, maybe it will be richer?

I believe Walmart will take returns if I buy one of each and want to switch to the other.

2 liters of redken!!!! (I'm gigglin' like Newman!!!)
 
I got Real Control and Smooth down ( they were out of AllSoft) conditioners.

:yay:

AND used the 3.50 off coupon!!

At walmart this am, the woman told me that Salon products must be purchased in the salon, and they don't price match.

I'm going to the white walmart and see if they say the same thing. They might be more "sensitive" to the customer. If not, I can always swap my RealControl for AllSoft. Gotta feeling I may not like that one.

There are no liters of all soft conditiners in all of Las Vegas! I got extreme and smooth down conditioners. The manager at Ulta told me to buy a
liter of something random and exchange it for the all soft later.
 
I'm going to head to Ulta when I get out of class. I think I'm going to get All Soft and Smooth Down...unless Real Control is on sale?
 
I don't know but I did a search and supposedly it's for 'us.'

The Real Control is on sale. I purchased that and the Smooth Down. I'm wondering if I should have gotten the All Soft instead.

QUESTION, do you all use your Redken conditioners as DCs? Because the bottle says to apply and rinse so I didn't know if it could be used as a DC. TIA.

I use them as dc and sometimes leave a bit in. I mainly use the Smooth Down line and it says on the bottle that you can leave it in for coarse or unruly hair. I have with no problem. I should say though that I do mainly wash and go's. so I am not sure how that would work if you were going to blow dry. But for a DC under the hooded dryer it'd be ok.

Thanks for posting this Im goint to get the smooth down, Im almost out. I think I will try the extreme conditioner. I find smooth down is very lush and moisturizing but doesnt have that much slip. maybe I can detangle with extreme.
 
So I am new to the Redken line, so how could I deny trying it if its only $9.99! So today I picked up two bottles, smooth down and real control! I will add it to my conditioner collection, I really need to stop! :wallbash:
 
I'm going today before I forget. I already have the liters of SD shampoo and condish, but I'm thinking of getting some more for Cowashes...my hair behaves better with the more "quality" condishes.

So I'm getting the Smooth Down and one other. Is the All Soft or Real Control condish better?

Also, wasn't someone talking about how great that Matrix Sleek and Look condish was??? Ahhhh, time for a search! Im such a PJ :lachen: :lachen:
 
does anyone get quick buildup from redken conditioners?..i never bought it b.c. Of the cone in the first couple of ingreds. Do u find that the cone is pretty heavy in these conditioners?......please answer soon cuz i wanna pick up a liter if its good stuff!

I use them 3-4 times a week. but I do wash and go's. I dont notice too much build-up. I only clarify once a week, sometimes once every 2 weeks. Sometimes I leave the conditioner in sometimes I rinse out. It work for me. I have 3b/3c natural hair.
