I've been trying braid-outs and they are nice but, my hair doesn't hold but one-day. The waves leave quick and my hair is left puffy. I'm trying to use less heat but, I've never used a protectant and there's many out there to try. Someone tell me a good one to use, please and thank you.

I like Givoanni's Straightening elixir, it works well and it leaves my hair soft!

i use tresseme heat defence an sometimes nexxus heat protects. i foun them okay, still looking for something better:ohwell:

I like Chi Silk Infusion and H2 Ion. I've been looking for other heat protectants though myself. I might try NelsonJ Sealer.

I've heard a lot about fantasia IC and CHI on this board. If you do a search you'll find several threads about them.

What do you mean by "better"? I never understood how to test a heat protectant. Without using it for an extended pd of time, how can you tell when it works?

I've got two for redken heat glide...maybe fantasia is out of the picking...especially since I need to got to ulta.
