Miss-Hollywood Olive Oil Creme, doesnt keep my hair moist.

Miss-Avocado Butter-its too gritty and I cant stand the smell, not to mention expensive. It does a decent job of sealing though, but that smell gets to me.

Hit - Nutiva Coconut Oil
Makes my hair and ends smooth, shiny, and soft, even when it's about time for me to wash my hair. Amazing!

Miss - ORS Olive Oil Moisturizer
I thought this was a hit at first, it made my hair shiny but it also seemed to coat it and lock out moisture without putting enough back in. No thank you!

HIT:

Biolage Conditioning Balm - I deep conditioned with this wonderful cone free conditioner and my hair loved it! Forgot I even had this one.

I used the shampoo from this line tonight, as well. It was not as impressive, but not many shampoos are anyway. :)

HITS:

UPA clip - I bought a short one a while ago and totally forgot about it. For the past couple weeks, I've been putting my hair back into a ponytail, putting my UPA clip over it and pinning it under into a little bun. It makes me feel less conspicuous since it's not hanging down, and it's a very fast simple way to look neat and presentable, even with my workouts, rushed mornings, etc. Plus my ends are protected underneath. I have gotten MILLIONS of compliments, my SO loves it and it works for my lifestyle. :) I'm very pleased...

Elasta QP mango butter - It's the best for smoothing down my edges.

MISSES:

Hawaiian Silky Relaxer - My hair still has not recovered from this relaxer. I'm pretty distraught about it, but trying to fight it out. I'll never use it again. :(

Hit, Giovanni Smooth as silk conditioner. On the fence, silk elements mega silk felt nice while in my hair but after the rinse and airdry:ohwell:
no misses so far

Hits-Blow drying my hair! I finally got it right after all this time!

Revisited hits
Hair One Olive cleanser
French Perm Stabilizer
AG Fast Food Leave-on conditioner
Chi Silk Infusion

HIT:
Hairveda Whipped Gelly :yep:. Used this on dd's edges this morning and she used it to do my flat twists last night and it's mad cool! It holds w/o any type of stiffness, crunchiness or tackiness and both of us were left w/super soft hair. I didn't wash the remainder off my hands when I got done either, it just fely good!

Revisited Hit:
Boe Crece Pelo DC. I used this to DC on dry hair day b4 yesterday and after I rinsed I didn't even bother to f/u w/a cowash. My hair was butter soft, tangle free and lightly fragranced.

Hits:
HairVeda's Moist 24/7 Condition. Been co-washing with this since my relaxer 5 wks ago and I know it's the reason I've had no issues with my new growth in terms of dealing with it and look of it

HairVeda's Almond Glaze. I wish I had a before and after picture of what my edges looked like with and without Almond Glaze. Difference of night & day. Can't wait til I have a enough hair to bun and I can use it on my nape too. I hear its good for helping fill in your edges too so that's good.

Can you retract a HIT? :look:

My hair has been trippin since I relaxed with Silken Elements Lye Mild. I think I need regular.

I corrected with a quick runover of my Profectiv no-lye (for only a couple of min, too) and my hair is SO MUCH better now.

Maybe I need to stick with what I know.

HIT : Organics no lye relaxer, very impressed, decided to go the no lye route, scalp not liking lye any more

MISS: Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave-In Cream,
got my sis to get me some when she went to NY, it made my hair nice an fluffy & brown!! :ohwell: I think the water content is very high in this product, was looking for something heavier, to lay hair down.
Kinder glad about that, being that i live in the UK and the product is only sold in USA

BIG FAT HUGE HITS!
Designer Touch Moisture lock Finishing Gel (yes the stuff that Ateyaa uses in her videos)
This stuff is the BOMB! Smooth, silky flat edges, even after laying down WITHOUT a scarf! I was sick as a dog on Tuesday and laid down for "a few minutes) turned into an hour and my hair was still LAID! Not hard, doesn't take a lot of product, smooth and silky! LOVE IT!

H2H End all
Got this during the summer and kept forgetting to try it because I had to put it in the fridge. Got it out because the weather's cooled down and I should KICK myself for not using this sooner. My ends are so moist and smooth, no splits despite all the heat that I have been having to use on my hair since I cut it. I LOVE THIS STUFF and the smell is :lick: I have the rare fruits scent :lick:

TEXAS BEAUTY SUPPLY!
Super fast shipping. Got me my HG tub of MMP in less than 2 days! :yay:
Low prices and I can find just about anything I need there for less than in the BSS!
:yay:

im not sure what this is: dudleys pca moisturizer. when i used it on wet hair it was good. when i used it on slightly damp mostly dry hair to do a braid out it was really nice. but when i put it on my flat ironed hair it does nothing.

aussie moist conditioner!

I bought it (before I joined the buy nothing challenge!) because I wanted to avoid any extra protein while using mega-tek. I love it and it smells great, but I still hate cowashing my hair :ohwell:

Shescentit Banana Brulee conditioner
Shescentit Seyani Hair Butter vanilla almond scent

I finally got a chance to try these two products from the sample pack that I ordered, and I love them both. I used the conditioner on dry hair with heat, and after rinsing and a quick shampoo my hair was soft and tangle-free. I applied the hair butter to my wet hair and bunned, and then used it again to rebun this morning, and my hair so soft. These are both keepers and I'll be ordering larger sizes very soon.

hit: millcreek aloe vera conditioner....softened 15 week ng...but was fantastic on my hair shaft. my airdry came out soft & light.

I CANNOT WAIT TO TRY THIS.

I got some from Marshall's because I could not pass it up.

But, I am not even close to finishing up my current conditioners in rotation.

I am trying so hard not to tap into the MillCreek yet.

Hits:
Megatek Rebuilder (finally got on the bandwagon)
Elucence Clarifying Shampoo
Elucence Moisturizing Conditioner (made my hair feel so soft and luscious)

BIG HIT:

kinda a revisitied hit but TIGI dumb blond with heat for 10 minutes

LOVE THAT STUFF, TOO. I mixed in some Suave Citrus Smoothie (so it was not so thick) and a teaspoon of Marine Collagen and my hair was in love.

It smelled so good for days, too.

SO - I revisited a lot of stuff I had in my stash but out of laziness or PJism stopped using, where to begin...

Hits:

-EQYSS cream rinse (blue writing) this stuff is AMAZING, it loosens ANY tangles on ANY type of hair, used it on my corkscrew Afro LF as well and it made the curls pop.

-Co-washing daily. I've been colouring like mad and my hair is still looking healthy. 'Nuff said.

-DENMAN brush, this stuff cannot be over-hyped for some reason I was still too scared to use the brush properly but I did this morning after colouring and the cream rinse (see above) :wow: I'm 3 1/2 months post and very very mildly texlaxed this had my hair laying flat on my head

Misses: One. The Aphogee Moisture Balance conditioner, did a hardcore treatment this morning, this thing is still crap thank God for the Eqyss rinse:nono:

Man, I had forgotten how good it was and I remember some of your old posts which is the only reason I ever tried it anyway. I got a big bottle of it for 15 bucks at Marshalls and I am so glad I bought it. You are right, it is very thick, which is one thing that had suprised me. Even though TIGI doesn't really "look" like a serious brand, they make good stuff.

I like this too. I think it is going to stay a stable for me, because me not likey the Suaves and VO5s as much.

Revisted hit - The Kiya fizzle.. forgot how much my hair LOVES it. Felt like pure silk afterwards, especially cuz I rinsed with cold water. :yep:

misses: EVOO..am i the only one?? my hair hates this stuff!
my hair doesnt seem to like olive oil either. esp. the ors brand of stuff.

hits: doo gro grease(forget the name). i havent used grease in a long time and decided to buy this just because. i thought it would be supper thick, which i hate. but it was so light. i will use it maybe 2-3 times a week.

HITS

Affirm fiberguard lye relaxer  my new bff-straightened properly without being too much, only a slight scalp tingle when time to rinse:grin:

5% honeyquat addition to Kenra MC, 2% to distilled water to spritz newgrowth for rollerset

Abba nourishing conditioner- slicked my ng down, soothed the scalp but I don't think I could use this everyday- bec of aloe vera & soy.

REVISITED HITS THAT REALLY HELPED THIS "STRETCH"
Aussie moist- really helped in this stretch as prepoo, rinse and a leave in
jason biotin conditioner- my scalp loves this stuff- the proof is how my scalp acts between washes.
Moisture maniac conditioner- a lifesaver
Abba Moisture Scentsations poo/con- ditto
HE Break's Over leave in creme:wallbash: I hate Clairol for discontinuing this
Emergencia- I will always love thee even though you smell funny

ON THE FENCE

Fenugreek oil added to conditioners and as a leave in. I like how it strengthens/gives slip without making me feel like protein overload, but I will have to learn how to use it to avoid stiffness.:bookworm::scratchch

MISSES
considering transitioning: I was reminded of why I relaxed my midback natural hair in the first dern place: I want straight hair! :cowgirl:
I will wait until I am really and truly tired of relaxing- aint there yet!

Right now I don't have the time for 3 hour detangling sessions with fingers every few days- low manipulation for the relaxed ends doesn't jive with this:nono:, literal day long washdays:nono: and then flatironing? I would need to be Bill Gates rich and devote my life to transitioning.

Sinus/cold issues from having to wet my hair over 1x a week:freezing::sick2::sick2::ill::nono:

To transition and maintain my sanity I would have to probably get rid of a lot of length, because the detangling the relaxed hair was 10000x harder than detangling the ng....wtf! I. JUST.CANT. at the moment, nor do I want to. I am too attached to my length.

HITS for me this month is the entire Jason Natural Thin to Thick haircare line even the thickening hair spray and gel:grin:.

WEN lavender and Tea Tree cleansing conditioners.

Wave Nouveau Moisturizing finishing lotion - love love love this one. It's one of the best moisturizers I've tried on my hair so far:yep:.

ON THE FENCE:

WEN Fig cleansing conditioner - I think I will replace this one with the WEN almond mint cleansing conditioner.

Stretching my relaxer beyond 12 weeks is downright hard to do so, but this time I don't want to relax before December 22nd, 2008. I think that will be my last long relaxer stretch (18 weeks total) until next year when I will keep them between 10-12 weeks only.

MISSES:

I don't like the Aphogee Balancing conditioner or shampoo anymore. They make my hair feel a little hard. I'll stick with Mizani Botanifying conditioner to use in concert with my Aphogee hardcore protein treatment.

Daily Co-washing - breaks my fragile hair off terribly:nono:. I can do this only once or twice a week max.

That is all for now.
