major hit: co washing. i was co washing everyday but then got tired and went back to flat ironing once a week. well i co washed today and have decided to do so until november 1.

Revisited Hit:

Emergencia Conditioner. I dont know why I had this in the back of my product stash. (Yes, I do. I was once a serious PJ.) If I wasn't looking for something to mail out, I wouldn't have used it.:ohwell:

This stuff makes my hair feel like butta! Tangles, what tangles. I love it. :love2:

Miss: Joico K-pak the conditioner... my hair was too moist and clumpy. I like to see the individual strands more so than clumpy strands. Guess it would work for someone with really dry hair. :yep:

Nexxus Emergencee- this always was a hit for me but when used in conjunction with WEN, it deserves to be mentioned again!!!!!!!!

Hits:
Nairobi humecta-sil co, soft touch leave in, and hair lotion

Miss:
Nairobi hydrating detangling shampoo(my hair felt stripped and not moisturized at all while using it).

We are definite product twins! I let this run out and now I'm looking like :ohwell:. A definite re-up needs to take place! Nothing else I use can replace this...

Not necessarily a miss yet, but SO ON THE FENCE:

Hair One Olive Oil Hair Cleanser...my hair is still soft this morning but I don't know if I can attribute that to the HO or my Vatika/Castor oil sealant. On next use I will chelate and see what happens. Maybe tonight. I'll update.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Banana Brulee by She Scent It

Also, I know I'm late with this but I used Lacio Lacio last night and my hair feels great.

im not sure is this is a hit or miss: dudleys pca, i used it today on wet hair because i thought it was a leave in but now i think its a moisturizer. im not sure. my hair is soft but not as soft as it usually is.

another on the fence: hydratherma naturals oil. i sealed my wet hair with it and again my hair is not as soft. im used to sealing with cocasta because that stuff makes my hair soft no matter what moisturizer i use. but this oil smells good though.

Have we all been to The PJ Rehabilitation center?! I remember the day that this thread would have 8 pages by the 2nd say of the month. :yep:

SUPER DUPER hit for me - Redken Real Control mask. I may have posted this last month because I did try it the day before I had some braids installed and loved the way my hair felt.

But this time, I used it at 7 weeks post relaxer the night I removed my braids and actually "did" my hair afterwards.

Normally i cannot go past 6 weeks post and that always concerns me. I am determined to stretch this time and last night I deep conditioned with the Real Control mask and blowdried and flatironed my hair. It is very manageable and I am actually able to wear my hair down.

One thing I did not like about it was that my hair felt kinda coated when I rinsed it out. That may be because I think there are cones in there. Since I don't really use cones i can tell right away when a product has anything like that in it. I did shampoo and conditioner rinse it at that point, but I still feel the benefits of the Real Control.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR STRETCHERS.

I think Dudleys PCA can be used on wet or dry hair. I'm not sure though. When I used it, I used it on dry hair and I liked it. I loved the smell:grin:

Hit: Decca Plus Satin Conditioner

Although I've had it on hand for a few months I used the regular conditioner the other day for the first time. I love the Deep conditioner but never used the regular one until a few days ago. It made my hair very soft and moisturized and it has a thick, creamy consistency. The instructions on the bottle indicate that you can also use it as a leave-in conditioner and I think I'd probably like it better as a leave in due to pretty great ingredients and the fact that the thick, creamy texture will be excellent for keeping my ends moisturized and protected from the upcoming harsh winter weather.

The ingredients are: Cetearyl alcohol, aloe vera, hydrolyzed protein, mink oil, almond oil, jojoba oil, lanolin, peg 40 castor oil, cocodimonium, hydrolyzed collagen, hydrolyzed silk, wheat germ, vitamins A, D, & E, and fragrance.

I could do without the lanolin, peg40, and cetaryl alchol but at least this one does not contain parabens and it works well for me.

I'll be back with more, the buy nothing in September challenge is over and I'm just getting started!!

Olive Serum by Africa's Best--gave me a nice shiny rollerset
Mixing AG Fastfood leave-on and lacio lacio gave me soft shiny and moist hair! I used this mix with the olive serum and I haven't had to remoisturize in 48 hrs, my hair is still soft and moist!

Flat ironing with my Paul Brown Hawaii--soft, shiny hair with no burnt smell or dryness!
