Has anyone tried these? They opened up a store in my area and Im tempted to go, especially b/c it says no 'cones and all natural stuff... looks good and when I walk by it smells decadent, but...IDK... I want some "experienced" folks to let me know if I should waste my monies @ all...

I have one of the lush shampoo bars, its ok... nothing extra special but i just liked the idea of washing my hair with a bar of soap at the time. sorry i cant be of more help

I went in a Lush store yesterday, I wanted to try one of their shampoo bars but all of them have sulfates. So, I didnt buy...one of the store consultants said they only had one shampoo bar that doesn't dry the hair out. Still had sulfates though..so I passed

I tried a couple of the shampoo bars and liked them a lot and the jungle conditioner bar. My hair responds great to all of them. I would have to give them a thumbs up.

I usually restock once a year on my b-day. Not this year though. Too many other supplies on hand.

trop cher! :nono:

French for too expensive

I'm not paying 25 bucks for some chemical-laden specialty products in what appears to be a recycled ice cream container

And lush products STANK to me. Whenever I walk past that area I feel lightheaded. I think the people who work there probably gradually, but permanently, lose there sense of smell!

i have tried 2 of their shampoo bars and i hate them.

why?

i bought the "trichomania" bar which is SUPPOSED to be rich and very moisturizing yet it completely stirpped my hair. If they said it was a clarifying shampoo I would have been cool with it but i was expecting soft gently cleaned hair and got extreme, squeaky, snap crackle pop hair.
*eta: it's deceiving, when pooing, the coconut scented suds from the bar feel creamy and silky but as soon as you wash that out...you BETTER have some conditioner ready to slap on your head immeeejitly!

I also bought the "hybrid" solid which is supposed to be cleansing and conditioning 2in1 and that was worse that the trichomania.

A little help please....I can't decide which one to get.

  1. Caca Noir Mama Hair Henna
For deep, blue-black or dark burgundy hair
  2. Caca Marron Mama Hair Henna
    For shiny, chestnut tresses
  3. Caca Brun Mama Hair Henna
Infuses mousy hair with a rich, brown shine

#1 makes me wonder will my hair be blue-black or burgandy and what color will my grays be?
#2 and #3 I'm not sure which will be darker. The people in the store today could not answer ANY of my questions.

oh, if you are still curious about these i put them on the exchange board.

Some of their stuff smells good but a word of caution - the henna made my hair really dark but utterly failed to cover my grays..!! I used Caca Brun. I decided I will not repurchase. My hair felt strong and it was not drying (I DT'ed overnight after the henna) but my grays are still as gray as ever!!
Another problem I have with them is even thier conditioners contain SLS! Weird. I just cannot get my head around that. So though I cannot resist walking into the store when I pass by I find it very hard to actually purchase most of the stuff there.
HTH.
