Ok ladies here's the deal. I forgot to take my MSM (I take these for my allergies, fibromyalgia, and arthritis) for two days and I slacked on my water intake. My skin dried out and is just now getting back hydrated since I'm back on water and my vits. MY SCALP! OMG it's driving me crazy. I feel like there are bugs crawling in there! I'm 7 weeks post and since I've been using WEN (every 2-3 days) I've got new growth like a mug! I'm going to try to take a pic. This is ridiculous. My hair is so soft and strong. I have little spirals all around my crown and they are amazing! I stretched out one and it was over an inch. Anyways, What can I do to ease the itch?????

I would say pop a benedryl pill... that's what I do when I get very itchy (eczema)

but even one of those knocks me OUT.

Do you put anything on your scalp?

Maybe some aloe vera gel mixed with a little light oil would be nice and cool and soothing... also moisturizing.

OT: I'm jealous of your nails!

Thanks! All I do is rub olive oil on my hands at night to keep my cuticles soft. I haven't used anything on my scalp but I think I'm going to try evoo and tea tree oil. I don't think it's an allergic reaction because it's just on my scalp not nape or hairline but all up in the grass lol. But I'm going to try that and see.

The evoo with a few drops of tea tree did the trick. :yep: LOL girl I had the benadryl on the side. Told myself I'd give it an hour or so to see if it worked and it did!

I had my SO give my scalp a going over and he just goes,"I don't see anything... :look: ...... it's kinda THICK in there. Your hair is just growing...."

But it's not supposed to itch like I have mange. +

You know, my scalp has been itchy lately too. You actually just reminded me about the benefits of MSM since I have polymyalgia and it has been really hurting me lately and I refuse to get back on Steriods.

Oh my gosh I was going to post something similar. I've been cowashing frequently too with going to the gym and all. I have a lot of new growth... its been 10 weeks and my scalp is itching sooooooooooo bad. I'm at work now trying to scratch. I think I'm going to try the aloe vera gel. But I'm planning on washing tonight so we'll see. I think I need to go back to using the rosemary and peppermint oil. that really made a difference in the itchy scalp.
