How are they different from regular Mesh rollers? Do they work on natural hair? Are they soft or hard? Do they break the hair? Sorry, the pic is huge!!!

ETA:I bought a couple of packs and I don't think they will work for me

I've never used that specific one, but I've used something similar. That's the kind of roller I don't mind putting in my hair if I just need a few to keep my hairdo intact, but as far as putting it on my wet hair... the one I used before would snag my hair and cause breakage. I'd buy one small package and see if it works for you. HTH!

Thanks. the breakage is a concern of mine. I bought something similar from Sally's. The breakage was not bad, but I just wondered if these might do a better job.

I just bought some of these rollers. They are hard plastic.

I used to love them for roller sets, but stopped using them when my hair got longer because the largest size I could find was 1 1/2. I am going to try going back to using them. They dry your hair faster than magnetic and you get more tension than with the wire mesh.

My hair is 4b relaxed, so I cannot tell you how they will work on natural hair.

Thank you. Did they cause your hair to break at all?

No. They have a rougher surface than the magnetic, so you may have to be careful. When I took the pin out, either the roller would fall out or I would unroll gently. No yanking. You could also use end papers, but I was usually too lazy :yep:

I always use the red ones to rollerset my hair. I like them because the holes allow your hair to dry quicker and they allow you to get your roots straight. I absolutely looovvvee these rollers. And they do not cause any breakage

oh, and they are hard rollers

Thanks, this info is very helpful.

I love these! They are apart of my rotation of rollers. They give a nice set, are much easier to use than soft mesh rollers with the spring inside and they allow my hair to dry faster.

Hey there, I don't think you can go wrong with these rollers. These are my regulars for roller-sets. I use the red ones. I always get great results. ( I am however going to try the soft mesh with the spring inside this weekend) Be sure to use end-papers. And I usually spray a lil oil sheen on my hair once the rollers are in ( before I dry) for added sheen.

p.s. don't just rip the end papers out of your hair. unfold them to remove. ripping them out can lead to breakage!

I guess you will only know if they work if you try em'!

My stylist uses these. I've not experienced any breakage due to these rollers, but I personally still prefer the magnetic ones. You can certainly get biggers ones than what is shown here.

I tried them, but not with end papers. I have no idea how end papers are used. I have never seen them before.
With these rollers, it was very difficult to rollerset natural hair.
Any naturals using these?
