Not getting same result like the beauty parlour

Ok, I think that I have researched enough about how to wash and rollerset hair that I should have it down by now. I took the same products I use at home to the beauty parlour today to see if I get a different result and I did (before I toss the product). Aside from seeing hair shedding my hair came out silky.

I usually wash all shampoo out good before proceeding to conditioner. I make sure I rinse this out for a few minutes. At times my hair feels dry after and I don't know why. I don't have a spray nozzle on sink so perhaps the water spraying in one section at a time is a problem. I also don't have the Pibbs but this did not matter in the past. It is not the rollersetting part it is the washing I believe. I do think that the pibbs make my new growth/hair feel better. I should of got when I had the chance. I kind of don't have any where to put it until I move.

Any suggestions?

How much tension are you putting on your rollers? They’re supposed to be tight for you to get the silky results. At least that was my problem, more the technique than the products themselves.

I honestly think its the hair dryer. I for one, no matter how nice of a rollerset I do, my hair always comes out dry with all of the products i've used so far.

I agree. My rollersets have been coming out the same at home and at the salon. I do my rollersets pretty tight, and I get better results when I do the parts thin like "they" do it.

And the way my hair been so dry from the protein overload; it's just as dry in the salon.

do you have hard water? is your salon in a professional building? a lot of salons in professional buildings have water treatment (i.e. water softeners, etc.) bc they also help with pipe corrosion, wear and tear, so building owners will pay for initially. just a thought...

hard water is the debil:perplexed

Thanks ladies!

I do think it has something to do with the water and the dryer. I wonder if I had a spray pump will it be better. I brought one but it turned out to be too cheap and I see the same ones around. I usually use Nexxus. Yesterday I used apretadora ( a pre poo cond) with some coconut oil I put it in my hair b4 I went with cap for 30 minutes. I just want to use it up b/c it has patroleum and lanoline but some swear by it. I let them use their poo and I gave her my Got 2 be so smooth. Deep conditioned for about 15-20 minutes. She combed cond through which is something I don't usually do due to more tension (11 weeks post). I use my Bio complex placenta de oveja leave in and that's it.

I tried the chealting for two washings and did notice a big difference. So perhaps it is the water and dryer. I just don't have anywhere to put the pibbs right now. I might add when I wash my sister hair with the same products it comes out great. I actually feel my hair feeling hard and dry once I come out of the water even with the Aphogee.

Once again thanks for your replies.
