Trying to add it up is kind of fun. I thought I had been frugal this year then I remembered in addition to my usual monthly buys, I tried a new oil, needed a new flat iron, new rollers and clips, jumped on a bandwagon, jumped off, seen so many cute hair accessories that I had to have, tried a couple new condishes, a new supplement, wigs, blah blah$$$$$$$$$$$$.

These last few months while I was in stock up mode , way too much! But I'm almost done, then I will be set and need nothing for a long time to come. I have no way how to guess an amount but I know its way up there over the last few months close to over a grand probably on all products, conditioners, vitamins, oils etc

But I'm almost done :yahoo:

The other day was my day to stock up so I spent a pretty penny. The products that I order hopefully will last til next March.

So have I. If I stop now (which I've pledged to) I still have enough products to last a year or two.

I would say though that the last 6 months I've probably spent $300.

actually I'm positive its been even more than my estimate, but I aint gonna think about that , might freak out :freakout:

only two bad buys
1 black seed oil =the smell
2=Macadamia nut oil=the smell gawwwd!
ok three
Biosilk silk therapy, meant to get somethin else= per Tee's suggestion it will be used as a bath oil

But I'm making headway getting all my ducks lined up and having all I want so I WONT need a thing through winter , untill next spring or summer :woot:

The sad answer is I am not even sure. I could guess if I sat down long enough. But I did purchase a Pibbs this year so that pushes it up alot. I will say a few hundred dollars though. I am content right now. So for the next 6 months I think I will just be using the products that I have.

girl thats just how I like it, aint it easier to just get your BSS in order so you dont have to even think about it later , or is this PJ behavior? :lachen:

I'm around $150... I know I def use at least 2 bottles of AO cons each month and my coconut oil and Giovanni Direct. Every once in awhile I will try a new product but I'm too scared to mess up a good thing I have going on now with my hair so I stick to what I know works.

Umm since I went natural, I'd have to say within the range of $300 maybe more, so I'll choose $350. When you co-washing alot, even them conditioners can really add up, but I'm not stopping my co-washes LOL:lol:

I've been at it for almost 4 months now, and just with a quick estimate I know I've spent well over $300 - oils, vitamins, conditioners, wigs and phony ponys, MN, denman, accessories. Spent $80 on cornrows that lasted 1 week and ripped my hair out, but that's another story. I think I've found a temp routine that will curb my spending for at least the next month. I'm really a cheapskate, but I actually don't mind it for my hair - I am worth it after all :lachen:

The Cost for me has went up for good by changing my leave in to a more expensive one and changing what I CW with and now more regular/frequent use of coconut oil now for me and my daughter now requires a serious stash

the new 'budget' will continue on. But I refuse to add anymore , any more! :wallbash:

i would say 50 to 150, but that is pushing it. most of the stuff i use is cheap under $5 and stuff i cowash with is a $1. i do want to get some more QB sutff, but that stuff has lasted me for over a year expect for the gel. i use jamacian mango and lime gel now and fantasia ic gel for wash and gos. i will buy some more accessories soon. since being natural i spend less money on products. i go to the barber shop to get linings and that is $7.

A LOT

...and discovering the WENhaircare system isn't helping things either. :look:

ALOT.......and I do mean ALOT

Good news! I restocked on the stuff that I actually use on a regular basis, cond, clarifier, chelating., poo, protein, blah blah..you know, and got the big size.

I did not get a single "just to try". I am done with that. I have wasted so much money from doing that, Bioslik, sucked, Biolage Sucked, Paul Mitchell Lemon Sage Sucked, Not going to keep going, but you know...... I have my staples and I am sticking to it.
I am good for another 7 to 8 months with the exceptions of hennas, amla powders, oils, etc...but that stuff is cheap.

Puff

I don't even want to know :o but a lot more than I should be spending :nono: sigh but thou must be fly!

I was just thinking that when I reach my goal it's going to go back up because I will be going to the salon a little more to treat myself.

You think so?
I don't know...It just might be the same amount, you just wont be doing it yourself...we'll see. That was an interesting thought though....:perplexed

Six months??? I would guestimate anywhere between 200 - 400 bucks. Not too bad if I say so myself! Back in my PJ days, I'd say I spend that amount per month!! :look:

If you can just vote on the number that is CLOSE to how much you spend. THANX LADIES, DON'T BE AShAMED TO VOTE, WE ALL KNOW HOW EASY IT IS TO BECOME A PJ,LOL.

Okay I have only been doing this for about a month and I have spent too much. In my defense I didn't have some basics. Also because I started paying attention to what I was putting in my hair I realized what I had wasn't working so I basically had to start from scratch. Oh yeah and one more thing is I have to buy two of everything. I hate running out of stuff so that does add up. At this point I'm not allowed to buy anymore hair products until Jan 09 (unless of course there is a blowout sale on something that I use) ;)!

Between my Pibbs, 2 hair appointments and my trip to the beauty supply yesterday that's $550 in the last 2 months. I know I've bought more products than that in that time as well. I might be pushing a $1000 if not a little over.

I wouldn't say these last 6 months have been typical though.

*digs up receipts*....
2 for 1 Aubrey Honeysuckle Sale + Aubrey GPB cons...30 dollars
Shea butter, aloe vera, SAA, glycerin, containers, etc....40 dollars
Castor Oil and Coconut oil restock (but my mom paid for it:grin:)...20 dollars
Giovanni Tea tree shampoo + Organix con.......................15 or so dollars
Scissors (I dulled them from cutting other stuff so they're useless now)..10

I had a 120 dollar gift card for my birthday :yep:

So....115 dollars if my math is right....:lachen: wow. I guesstimated 50 in the poll :nono:
