Just wondering which relaxers give really good results. I love beautiful straight relaxed hair. I've used creme of nature for years but they have recently changing their product, I tried one and the results were not as good, they added other ingredients . So i'm looking :look: perhaps for another brand. I've heard good thing about ORS and I also found that a mild relaxer is a very good strength for me, not too strong and allows you more time to distribute evenly without burning. Thanks in advance.....Anna

I like to use Soft & Beautiful's relaxer kits. I'll either use the adult formula or Just for Me (depending on which one is cheaper, lol). I also mix my relaxers with an oil to make it less harsh and I keep it on for only about 10-15 minutes. But what works for one may not work for another. A lot of people like ORS and Gentle Treatment relaxer kits, but both of them burned the heck out of my hair and scalp even though I mixed them both with oil.

Thanks girls. I do prefer no-lye, and loving the mild relaxers. From what I understand there is lye in all of them, maybe not as much in some.

:drunk::spinning:I absolutely LOVEEEEE ORS Olive Oil relaxer! I had such WONDERFUL results and it came out SOOO shiny and soft and I didn't have to add ANYTHING!!! It is SOOOO super straight, I can even attach pictures... I was so pleased:grin: I took PICS! I usually still have waves when I do my own touch ups, and this time I was about 15 weeks post... I tell ya, I think I'm going to stick w/the complete ORS line and see if I have better luck w/my hair journey!

I am a girl who hasn't really had the best results when self perming, but this was AWESOME and I highly recommend!:yep::yep:

Y'all nevermind my goofy cheesy smile, I was just amazed w/the results....:lachen:

Your hair looks amazing!! I'm so jealous of your shine right now..

Did you use ORS Lye or No Lye? I've used their No Lye regular for my last two touch-ups. I added evoo the first time, nothing the 2nd time. I have like 3-4 inches of underprocessed growth, it's... weird and poofy lol.

So far I have had wonderful results with Design Essentials Lye relaxer. Love it because it does leave my hair dry and brittle, but strong and thick looking. My hair retains moisture really well with it as well. The only thing is I cna't seem to find it anymore so I will be using Mizani Butter Blend regular strength when the tub of DE relaxer is finished:yep:. I've heard great things about MBB especially the fact that it is a mild version of Mizani relaxers which is great for my fine hair.

Thank you Twinkletoes!! :rosebud:
I used the box that says Normal and it was no lye.

I voted "Dark N Lovely". I use the Super No-Lye and it does the job. I go bone-straight and it stays that way.

I love this place. Thank you so much girls. I was considering ORS, but I remember one of the girls in a Ayurvedic thread, done really long stretches, and her hair is beautiful she used Affirm. I think it's gonna be between the two, and I haven't yet read all the thread responses. Going to read both boxes and educate myself a bit before making a decision. You guys are the solution. This is awesome forum, I learning so much.......Anna

I always thought you had very pretty hair. The shine is very pronounced. Hmmm, eyeing purse and thinking about making a short trip to Sally's.
