Can anyone tell me a few?

I colored my hair with a rinse today ( yeah, I woke up early to do it) and as always, I lost 4 times as much hair than when I don't use the color.

Now... I usually shed very little, so 4 times my usual rate is probably a normal rate.

Usually my wash day hair ball is the size of the eraser of a pencil, maybe two erasers. Today the hair ball was about the size of half of a standard cotton ball.

I'm tired of losing my hair though :ohwell: I want to lose the least amount as possible!

Anyways, I read that shampooing after using hair color makes you not lose as much hair.

I DID use my NTM shampoo right after the color today, but it didn't help... maybe using a neutralizing poo would work better.

I'd like a neutralizing or low PH shampoo that is very gentle. It doesn't have to be sulfate free (weak sulfates like NTM poos are fine with me)

Does that even exist???

Just to clarify that I did nothing wrong, this is how I did my hair :)

1) Shampooed with NTM cream lather.

2) Applied the clariol beautiful (semi permanent, ammonia/peroxide free color) to my hair for 20 mins with heat.

3) Rinse the color out, then shampoo with a little bit of NTM poo.

4) Rinse very thoroughly.

5) Deep condition with AO Honeysuckle rose mixed with jojoba oil for 30 mins.

ors aloe shampoo
Proclaim neutralizing- plus its just a dollar or two

I have the ors, but that one has ammonium lauryl/laureth sulfate. I love it on relaxer day and for my monthly clarifying, but I don't want to use it because it's stripping. Less stripping than most clarifying/chelating poos, but still too strong for me to feel comfortable with using that often.

*Goes to check out the proclaim*

Neith, are you protein sensitive?

Nope, my hair likes a fair bit of protein.

It just doesn't seem to like any time of rinse I've tried. It increases breakage and shedding for a day or two.

I think that if neutralizing doesn't work, I'm just going to leave them alone. I love the darkness and shine I get from them though :(

Thanks everyone for your reccomedations! I'm definitely going to research all of them!
