First let me say happy belated birthday.
Second, girl that last pic is hilarious. I know you were mad but it is funny as heck.
I honestly don't have any advice. But your hair is beautiful!!! Q

I'm sorry to hear you had/have such a hard time with maintaining straight hair. I was never able to do it as a 4b natural myself :ohwell:, so I can't offer advice.

Happy Birthday!!!!! girl, your hair is thick, healthy and beautiful! as a natural, I can definitely relate and experience the same thing in humid weather. I have to co-sign on pressing the hair first (the roots stay straighter), and definitely keep a ponytail holder on hand to put the hair in the bun towards the end of the night. :)

I have tried EVERYTHING under the sun and have just come to accept that my hair will never stay straight. :ohwell: I was so embarrased yesterday because I looked like I had a big wig on:lachen:

I read this at 1:00am and I literally was LMAO in bed! :lachen:
You could melt steel with those eyes LOLOLOL

BTW I have 3c hair and it poofs 30 minutes after straightening it. I don't even get out the door. At least yours lasted a few hours! I feel your pain though. Somebody told me to invest in a CHI because my hair laughs at cheap flatirons.

Maybe one day big hair will be back in style and when that happens you and I will be two foxy ladies LOL

Happy Birthday! OK, I am sorry for :lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen:to. Your facial expression. Anyway I have been their to and I have texlax hair. What gives? I think your hair is beautiful in both both pics. But I can't stop :lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen: at your facial expression. Please someone make it stop, my sides are hurting.

OMG! How did that happen? Sorry, Fabulosity, but this is kinda funny.

:look: Happy Birthday!

Happy Belated Blessed Birfday wishes chica...

I meant to leave last night...but as I was wiping the tears away *priceless pics*...I got distracted with another task...

You have great hair girl
... :hug2:

all baby I'm gon have to introduce you to my new wig world! LOL if you'd like I can give you my Mona da ho wig the next time you go out. Don't pay attention to the name I gave it ok chica! LOL Happy belated bday Virgo Sista!

Thanks for the love ladies! Dag yall, is my face THAT bad??? Seriously, if everyone is saying that it makes me think that you all are on to something. I can't hide my emotions, and people used to tell me a lot to "stop looking so mean" and "you need to smile" and things along those lines. Definitely food for thought. :lachen:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FAB! :birthday2:

And you have some DELICOUSLY thick and healthy hair, girl, even if it doesn't stay straight!!

and as for the progression of your expressions: :lachen:

I saw Dark knight and it was AWESOME!!!!

That movie was awesome! The first one was really good, too (Batman Begins)...

Also, did you use enough Sabino Moisture Block? I am sure you probably don't feel like trying this again, anytime soon anyway, but maybe you could try a small portion sometime and see if using more will help keep the humidity at bay. I'm not natural, but this humidity in TX is criminal...

**BIG HUG** And a very happy belated birthday!

Happy Birthday!!!!!!!

Your curls were really pretty....but the look on the face in the last pic is priceless!!!!!!!:lachen::grin::lachen::grin::lachen:

Have you tried just using your leave in and a sreum then rollersetting with just water...Hope you can figure out how to make the curls last!!!!

Yes, I did try the Sabino, not this time, but about a month ago and I got the same result. Go figure :ohwell: :lachen:

What i did yesterday though was reflatiron and throw on the flexi rods again and then later on when I took the rods out I threw some olive oil on my ends. My hair didn't get to the same level of poofiness and I was shocked!! Maybe I need to apply olive oil right after I straighten my hair to seal the ends or something???

I mean - I empathize with what your's saying and all - but your'e beautiful and so is your hair. I wouldn't have thought nothing of it.

Girl your facial expressions had me ROLLIN:lachen: I'm so sorry that happned though. It usually happens to me when the weather is straight soupy, its a bummer.

The one thing that helps me is I use Chi Silk Infusion while my hair is wet and then do whatever it is I'm going to do. Lots of ladies here have had good success with Sabino.

Oh, Fabulosity! I so know how you feel!!! Having to flatiron my hair every day (sometimes twice a day) in the summer just to keep it styled, is exactly why I decided to perm. I took the easy way out, this gave me the time to figure out what my hair needed to get it back in balance. My hair was fried from flat-iron abuse.:nono: So 8 months ago, I joined this hair care group to learn how to help my hair.
Your hair, however looks very healthy, and you have nice length. I wonder if your hair is overporous, and sucks up moisture and humidity like mine use to??? The key would be finding out how to quench your hair's thirst on a daily basis, so that it doesn't go seeking moisture from the air every time you're out and about. I am still trying many different combinations of oils, moisturizers and conditioners to keep my strands from straying. Don't give up, just keep experimenting with the flat iron process, and making adjustments as your hair's needs change.
I hope you had a good BD anyway, despite the fact that your hair was doing its own thing, and happy to be free!! Much luv, and happy belated bithday!!!

Oh my goodness, there are no words Fab for the last pic!! Happy belated birthday, girl. Thank you for sharing your B-day hair pics with us.

Happy Birthday!!! I must say the same thing happens to me, in fact it happened to me this weekend but I used Sabino. I thought that stuff was supposed to work, uh-no it doesn't. Girl, if you ever find something that works, really works for us nappy heads, please let me know!

I am so sorry that happened to you -AND on your birthday!! But depending on where you live, I know a great stylist who can press and make your hair gorgeous!! I had that happen to me one time when I went to a basketball game - I felt my hair poofing but didn't know how bad it was until I went to the bathroom and saw my fro. :ohwell: Not fun when you've spent time trying to make it straight. I feel your pain :hug3:
