OOH my goodness, I am on an emotional high right now because I have never been able to sucessfully wash and style my hair at home--I just posted the pics in my album. Well, my desire to eliminate my debt has made me cut costs in a lot of areas and I made up my mind that I was going to learn to at least do my in-between washes at the house.
Thanks to my LHCF sistas, last night I was able to do a conditioner wash with Sauve Dalily Claryifying Conditioner and I followed with Pantene Relaxed and Natural Conditioner. I used the ponytail hair drying method, not to the letter but I did tie the top part down.
This morning, my hair was mostly dry the ends were crinkled but that didn't bother me. I sprayed Mizani Shine through my hair and then used "Turn up the Heat" heat protectant while I flat ironed it with my cheap but reliable Gold n Hot Flat irons.
My hair is not as soft as it is when I go to the salon but at this point I really don't care, I think I can get that down with time.
Anyway my plan is to continue to go to get my relaxers, cuts and healthy trims at the salon, the rest will be done at the casa!!!!
A special thanks to LHCF members for being so unselfish and sharing the tricks of the trade.
