Okay for my review of Bedani.
I don't think it is fair to compare this product with Wen because Sakile Bedani is soap based. It suds like shampoo. I think it's base is castile soap. Wen is a conditioner based hair cleanser.
That being said, I think it's a great shampoo/hair cleanser...my hair did not feel the least bit stripped even after two sudsings. My hair felt very soft after using. It almost felt like I could have gone without my DC, but I would never do that
I liked the fact that it only took a very little bit to get the job done, like two small squirts out of the pump is all it took, and I had Qhemt Heavy cream on my hair!
I hear folks talking about the number of "pumps" it takes to use the Wen, that's one of the things that scares me about that product. My natural hair loves a good puddle of conditioner to cover every single strand so using that Wen may end up costing me a good grip...
I liked the faint smell of cocoa butter, it was not over powering.
I am definately glad I purchased the Bedani and would do so again. I would also recommend it for natural 4a/b hair.
I still want to try Wen, but I'm not in such a big hurry to do so now, I may wait until I come off my "HYH" challange to try Wen.
Thanks OP for posting about this product.
HTH, I would be interested in seeing other reviews of Bedani.![]()
thanks sweetie.....I tried to stay up to see your review but the little one and I just could not make it..... The shampoo isn't stripping at all..... this is a major plus for me. I tried the jojoba hemp shampoo from shescentit and my strands felt a little stripped. I failed to pre-poo though so I will try that next time.
ETA: I just placed my order for the shampoo. I hope it works for us b/c we really need a good moisturizing shampoo to use.
Looks like the vendor is taking a holiday (time to revamp the site)....anymore updates on this?
Good morning ladies,
I got a response from my email to Karen re: the ingredients for the shampoo. Below is her response that I copied and pasted from the original email:
"BEDANI shampoo is made with the following: saponified, organic oils of coconut, olive, and jojoba, glycerin/vegetable gum extract, organic aloe vera, rosemary extract, kunzea, lavender, peppermint, sweet orange, tea tree, and ginger lily essential oils, cocoa absolute, and black cocoa butter and shea butter.
People like it because it doesn't strip the hair, and the black cocoa butter is very moisturizing, and it smells like cocoa with a hint of citrus and spice. Plus, it's all natural and we don't have any PEGs, fragrance, parabens, or anything that is difficult to pronounce. You can purchase it online at this link if you like http://shop.sakile.com/product.sc;jsessionid=92ABE4C1D5F3187689D4A1B9026C34A8.qscstrfrnt02?categoryId=1&productId=51 and if you have any further questions, please let me know.
Let me know your thoughts and until we connect again, have a powerful day.
Blessings & Sunshine,
Karen
