I washed my hair and deep conditioned it with ApHogee reconstructor on thursday. I was wondering do you think it would be okay to do it today??

Do you need to do it again? Are you experiencing breakage? How often have you moisturized since then?

It really just depends on your hair and its needs. If you hair seems strong and there is no breakage, personally I would not do it again.

No problem. I think that washing with a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner every 3-4 days is fine. I was just concerned with the Aphogee b/c of the protein.

Do a search on conditioner washes, some women here use them with great success. And I know I loved them personally until my hair got too long to manage it with any kind of efficiency. Doing Co-Washes might help scratch that "love to wash" itch without stripping your hair. To prevent your hair from becoming over conditioned, you could alternate between moisturizing and protein conditioner every 2-3 washes.

Well, I did a 2 minute treatment on Friday but I did not use the reconstructor though.. Today I washed my hair and used the reonstructor this time.. It all depends on the condition your hair is in :yep:. My hair had been breaking for a long period of time before I realized that I needed protein in my regimen to balance off the moisturizing I've been doing the past couple of months. Next Sunday on wash day I am just go to use the shampoo, 2 minute reconstructor, keratin green tea restructurizer and leave-in. I will not say yeah... you have to know what your hair needs are...

Good question I used the same product yesterday.
Thought I would use moisture shampoo and conditioner
on Thursday.

I am still trying to figure out when to use protein:perplexed

I wouldn't. I was just using the 2 minute treatment often and my hair became an absolute mess. I agree that if you have the need to wash often, co-wash or use a non-stripping shampoo followed by a moisturizing conditioner.

Agree w/ the bolded as well, but for me, I have a much greater need for moisture than protein.

It's all about finding your proper balance. SistaSlick has some great articles on making this determination. I'll see if I can go find them for you.

Girl, just co-wash. i love washing my hair often too. just use moisturizing stuff vs proteins
