Was about to happen had I not had my daughter read the ingredients to me (I cant read small writing) she called off silk protein, wheat protein I was like its a little risky but should be ok then she said it HYDROLYZED KERATIN!

I already used it once as a leave in, thought it felt a little 'off' when I went to do my rinse the next time, but it was ok. Had I continued with that stuff as a leave in (just for the scent) it was another hair disaster just waiting to happen, now I'm just putting it in for a few when I use it and rinsing, hopefully the scent will linger .....geesh Thank God for daughter's with good eyes:grin:

Uhm...this makes me want to get some of this now, actually. :lachen:

I'm so bad!

Actually I've been meaning to review some VS poos and conditioners. I love their scents and unmentionables. Well...I'll have to visit sooner rather than later. Now I just have to get rid of this Pantene Poo. :wallbash:

:lachen: girl your the dare devil with the highly tolerable hair , be careful mama , but yeah the scent.... boom chicka wah wah!!!! :lachen:

Sometimes I wonder if thats why I can use so many products and still have insane progress? :look:

Then again I DON'T use/review stuff that "might" hurt my hair on the regular. :nono: If there's a product with stuff my hair doesn't like, it's not ending up in one of my albums.

I memorize chemical names and inspect ingredient lists with a vengeance! :yep:

I just rinsed it out and this was after using Redken all soft and I dont know whats up with my hair, but its loving Protein lately, the rinse out on both was like buttah! and so far it still smells good, hope it holds the scent with adding other products :ohwell:

I will not leave that in my head. Thats one of the few strong hair protein. Yeah Im glad you did read the ingredients, like the Palmers Olive Oil Conditioner is has Hydro Keratin in it also. It says leave in for 5-10 minutes and I make sure I do. I read all the ingredients now to make sure it safe for my hair and always watch out for the proteins.

Some products state stronger hair in one use, but list not type of protein. Im like who are they fooling, no one from LHCF, i know that much.

Yeah girl I CANNOT play with protein , it almost made me lose all my hair once and caused issues a couple other times. Keratin and collagen I do not play with , it got ugly!

wheat and silk I will test the waters more with, and shouldnt even do that. I know some ladies posted a while back about this conditioner and leaving it in for the scent, they must not be using the dry/damaged one tho

Girl, you too??? The eyes must be the first thing to go, suddenly the writing on bottles and packages seems so small lol! I think I am going to have to get me a magnifying glass to read ingredients when my youngest dd isn't around. My older dd's eyes are worse than mine and she's only 16! Anyhoo glad you found out the ingredients in time.

you too mama? whew I remember when I COULD see all that, like she sees, and this child faked her eye exam just to wear glasses , cant believe that one, But, I'm like whats up with my eyes now? I'm gonna get them checked though

She wanted to wear glasses? What is wrong with that chil'. J/k but yeah the minute I hit 40 my vision got noticibly worse as far as the small writing, everything else is pretty much the same. I am near-sighted, have worn glasses since I was about 20, but the doctor said that because I was nearsighted I probably wouldn't need bi-focals until I was 50 and that most people needed them at 40. But for real, I am not wearing no bi-focals:nono:, I'll get a magnifying glass or those little glasses they sell at Walgreens to use as needed. Otherwise I only need to wear my glasses when driving at night or at sporting events.

Don't worry, the smell does linger even when you rinse it out. It's usually in my hair for about 5 days. I have used it as a leave-in too just for the smell. I haven't had any problems with it so far. I really don't use VS very often though.

Girl glasses are cool now days. Yeah, times have changed a lot.

When I was in school you were instant nerd if you wore glasses:rolleyes:*sigh*.

I love me some VS So Sexy Conditioner!! :lick:

I deep conditioned with it last night..then did my rollerset!! I keep sticking my hands in my hair to smell it.....:spinning:

I've used it a time or two as a leave in for the smell, and haven't had any problems thus far...but I'll heed the message!

Totally OT, but I am an optometry tech in the air force and yes once u hit 40 ur eyes go to sh!t. lol. u can wear bifocals but they have the kind now where u don't see a line in them. they're called progressive or no line bifocals. u should check 'em out. they're a bit more expensive of course but some people like us fab women don't like people knowin our true age. haha. hth. :spinning:

Umm, where ya been?

When I use the VS, I think it's the one for normal hair or volumizing or something, but never the dry/damaged one. Like Iris said, maybe that's the difference...

oh no i'm not 40. i'm only 21. i jus meant that women like us who take pride in our appearances don't want people to know how old we really are. ot again there are also contact lenses out w/ bifocal in them. lol. if you really wanna look good!!! spend that money!! :lachen:

so would you use this as a leave in?

NO. Not something with hydrolyzed keratin. Wheat Protein and silk strengthen but SOFTEN hair. Keratin only strengthens.

My leave-in would return softness after using this as a co-wash may over strengthen. That way I'd have a balance, get away with using a protein condish as a co-wash and have uber strong AND soft hair. I would just have to be disciplined enough to use very moisturizing leave-ins for the duration of using the VS conditioner as a leave-in to maintain a balance with such a high ratio of protein.

That's natural though.

Texlaxed it wouldn't be an issue. For ME and MY head.

yeah I think I will just use it as a leave in occasionally and your right it did linger :lick:

It smells so good! :yep: I think I'm going to use it as a leave in still only here and there, its too hard to resist. I will just rinse it out by the next day or something

so thats what happened to my eyes!!!!!!! omg its been a very strange experience seeing them (well not litteraly lol) go to ****! ohhh I will look into those glasses , I'm getting my eyes checked soon, I know my sight has declined considerably :wallbash: cant take it much longer, I wanna be able to see the small stuff again, even the computer print I have to enlarge and it gets somewhat blurry, I THINK this dang computer added to the problem truth be told. :wallbash:

I'm gonna look into that one next! cause :nono: on the Keratin and using it as a leave in, it is something I would like to be able to use and leave in whenever I want for the scent, so I'm just going to look into the other ones next:yep:

OH MY GOD!!!:wallbash::wallbash::wallbash: Thats probably why i suffered a setback this summer in braids...I mean ive been using braids to grow out my hair for over 2yrs and this summer when i took the braids out after having them in for 6 weeks, i lost a lotttttttt of hair, i mean a lot...even from the root I think cos my hair was noticeably thinner...the only thing i did different was use VS condish as a leavein most of the time:wallbash::wallbash::wallbash: oh well learn something new everyday....now i know never to use collagen or hydrolyzed keratin as a leave in without properly moisturising with a moist. condish:sad:
