Well, in the past, I have complained of my natural hair b/c I would have to wet it daily to get it to style correctly, even to put it in a bun. I noticed many of you had the same issue, too.
I looked under my cabinet and saw all of the products I have purchased over the years that are still waiting to be used. I wash my hair late and it takes forever to dry, so I didn't want to put any castor oil on my hair that night. Well, I used a conditioner by Oyin called 'Honey Hemp', divided my hair in 6 sections, applied the product to each section, made smaller sections in the bigger section, combed with a rattail comb and twisted my hair up. I sat under the dryer for about 20 minutes so I wouldn't have a wet head for bed. The next morning I unraveled them and wore a twistout.
Now usually after I wear my hair out, I dread the next day b/c I would have to wet it to get it from being so stiff, but I didn't have to this time. My hair EASILY went into bun today ( a high bun at that) and my hair didn't feel dry and rough at all. This technique plus product is definitely a keeper for me!
