I have been curious for a minute. Some of my ends look good when wet and dry, but I have some that look real frizzy when they are starting to dry and the frizzy ends doesnt take long to dry at all. The parts that are frizzy is not the thicker ends, so could that be the problem because the ends are not thicker than the others.

Could you tell me if these are split ends or what.:ohwell:
If so I might need to cut asap to get rid of them and since some are futher up I will be going for a shorter look, but if not I will still be babying them.

END WHEN DRY

i cant tell, but if you take one stand and you see two ends, that means, you have split ends

is it long enough that you can look at your ends and see if they are split ? I just think you need to use a nice creamy moisturiser on them

Thanks. Yes they are long enough and doesnt really look like split, but more frizzy, but just double checking.

man so you're good , your hair is just trying to rile you up, change your moisturiser and you will see it behaves better

You are so right and trying to get me all excitied and things. Well I just applied my beloved kids organics shea butter moisturizer that I havent used in a while and I could already tell a difference again in my ends since its a more creamy moisturizer compared to the Africian Royale moisturizing spray that I was using. I guess since I thought the braid spray was a moisturizing spray that it would be great for my ends, but it look like my ends only want something creamy.:lick:

when I first started growing my hair out I cut all the color out of my hair and was NL with layers, but for whatever reason my ends would not dry straight and was frizzy, I started using Nexxus Therapee and after like the 3rd poo day my ends were able to airdry straight. I guess this shampoo gave me the moisture I needed, that the poo at the time wasn't or couldn't. So you may need to check your products, what are u using.
Really and I dont know whatelse I could do because when conditioning and moisturizing I always pay more attention to my ends, so if you have any suggestions please they are more than welcome.:yep:

I used to use nexxus and really dont know why I changed, but at the time I am using silk elements shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is very moisturizing but the conditioner thats in the bottle instead of the tube is not really moisturizing. I will be buying hairveda SitriNillah Deep Conditioning Masque :lick: soon.

I think consistent DCs with heat, maybe a few steam treatments, can help.
My hair gets like that when I slack on DCs and moisturizing. I wouldn't cut; it can be remedied.

I would really baby them for a month or two.

If they don't improve, I'd do a little (half an inch) trim to freshen it up.

They don't look thin at all, so most likely it's not damage imo!

I have this same problem with my ends.
Mine aren't split either.
My stylist uses a thicker, more moisturizing conditioner on my ends (something by mizani in a tub). Then she does the final rinse in cool/cold water to help them get smooth.
Maybe try that.
Rollersetting also helps my ends stay smooth.

I dust my hair often, and when I pressed a section of hair and saw my ends looking like that I snipped them off. (I figured I couldn't have dusted that area recently, since I'm in braids and usually trim one braid at a time as I redo them, as I see fit.) Not saying you should, but if it were my hair, I would. Just because the ends don't appear to split into two doesn't mean the split didn't occur and just break off. I find nipping the problem at the bud ie trimming the ugly ends as soon as I see them, saves me from having to chop off a lot more to remove a see-through section.

ETA: Close up, the main body of the strands looked healthy, but these straggly ends had to go.

I would deep condition my hair and put some added moisture when My hair was wet like leave in conditioner and olive oil directly on the ends. When My hair dried I would look to see if I had any split ends. If you do...cut them off.

Perhaps you need to do a search and destroy? Take the time to see if you have splits a small section at a time and proceed to dust. It really doesnt look like you need a major trim.

Thanks and I just have to quit being lazy:wallbash: and start back rollersetting again.

See this is why I was very concerned because I always dust every relaxer/2 months.

Your picture are exactly how mine look and thats why I recently just started dusting every relaxer/2 months and will continue because I love nice healthy ends.

No just frizzy and dry.

Okay.....maybe you need a heavier moisturizer and seal w/ oil. I'm sure you know that now by me being so late to respond:grin:

Girl I am having a similar problem myself particular on one side-my left. Some ends are split but also dry and rough-like and frizzy. After I put on moisturizer, they still feel dry and rough-like and look a little frizzy but the other side don't.:perplexed I'm thinking about cutting maybe 1/2 in to 1 in off:perplexed

Keep us posted.
