I've been wearing my hair straight lately and I hate wrapping my hair and my pinculrs don't turn out how I want them to. So Ive been moisturizing and rolling my hair up every night. I want to know if anyone has done this and experienced little to no damage? BTW they're not that uncomfortable to sleep on to me:grin:

If they're not that uncomfortable, keep on. I tried doing this but I always woke up with crooks in my neck. I liked using satin rollers, but they're so expensive and I can never keep up with them!

Mohawk rollerset baby . . .:lachen:

Keeps the sides free to sleep on, and the curls refreshed.

girl the times that I slept in hard rollers, I did not experience or see any breakage. But I did wake up with a sore head and scalp. Girl how do you sleep in those things. When I get my hair straight, i am going to have to try the mohawk roll.

I do not have a problem sleeping with hard rollers and I notice no breakage..I will be trying that Mohawk rollerset b/ althought I am good with sleeping in rollers, that may save me a few sore spots in my head

Girl, you think of everything  That is a genius idea though and I'll be trying that, because I do tend to sleep on my sides lol.

I wish I could take credit for this one. :lachen: I can't remember who came up with this, but I wish I could hug her. :lachen:

Yea for some reason they don't bother me, I guess I did it so much in high school I'm used to it. And Ive heard about the satin rollers but Ive never seen them.. I will have to check that out! Thanks!

That is a great idea, but I don't think my hair is long enough:sad: My sides are shorter then the back and I don't think it will reach. but i'm still gonna try tonite thanks!

I'm glad that you did not experience breakage either because I wanna wear my hair straight and down everyday and since my hair is SL I don't want it to rub against my clothes, so I like to keep my curls tight! But I think I'm just used to it!

What a clever idea! I'll have to try this with my smaller rollers since my hair is only neck length. I imagine this mohawk rollerset with free sides would work with most types of rollers, like flexirods, etc? A few questions, though...Since the hair will be in rollers all night, is it necessary to apply a leave-in, setting lotion, or oil to the hair before setting? Could this be the dry rollerset that I have been dreaming about to maintain your curls in between shampoos? Sistaslick, this is a simple but brillant idea!!!

Sista dun it again:yep:

LOL. :lachen:
Great idea, sistaslick.. and you are so gorgeous girlfriend! I will be trying this set tonight!

Thanks girl! Hope yours comes out okay!

What a brilliant idea. Thanks Sistaslick. Do the curls come out great and with how many clips dp you secure them. Thanks again

The curls come out pretty good and you can switch up the roller size to accomodate layers, tightness, straightness-- whatever! You can add more rollers to the mohawk if you want as well. I like to use the long duckbill clips b/c the grip is a little lighter than the short regular clips I use to rollerset.

I've never tried it with flexirods, so I couldn't tell ya. I usually apply a moisturizer to the hair before setting, and I mist a little leave in conditioner spray (Kenra Daily Provision) over the rollers to help the hair sort of "remember" the set. Not much at all, though- its not enough to make the hair feel damp or anything. It works as a completely dry set too, but I like to have a little something on the hair at bedtime. In the morning I take them down and finger style the curls.

Multi-quote is da bomb. :lachen:
