I hope I'm not too late, and I hope this hasn't been posted already---yep, I searched and didn't see it.

Aphogee has changed their packaging. I went to get some leave in and there were too bottles side by side. I just thought they had come up with some new line that was better. Anyways, I bought the familiar bottle because it seems that the two leave-ins had the same ingredients.

Low and behold, I am checking the site now and they just changed the packaging. Why am I telling you this??????

Because the old bottle of leave in was $3.99 and the new bottle was $5.99. Watch what ya buy ladies, If you can find the old labeling, then it may be cheaper---much cheaper.

Check out the site.

And i like the old forumla better than the new! Wish I could fine more old around here.

I think I saw it posted somewhere here that the new forumla is missing mink oil or something.

They've really changed the ingredients to stuff. The old Keratin/Green Tea spray ingredients are much better than the new stuff. The new one has a cone in it, and Keratin is way down on the list.

The BSS up the street from me has a few bottles of the old formula left. I would buy them, but I don't want to get hooked and not be able to repurchase.

tanks for d post, am going to stock up on my 2 min reconstructor, i still saw old ones last weekend

darn no wonder this new crap doesnt work on my hair

I didn't notice that much of a difference in the ingredients. glad to know. I was focusing more on the $2.00 price difference.

They have quite a bit of it around my way. I guess people are not up onto the effectiveness of aphogee. I may stock up, now that I know about the ingredient differences.

I didn't even notice the cones. I didn't see the keratin/green tea, what is it and how is it used. my pjism wants me to buy something new.

Me too. I've been taking MSM and seeing serious growth, do y'all know if there is something Aphogee makes that will help me keep my ng tame? It is like whoa, and because of the drastic difference in texture, my hair is breaking.

Well, Aphogee is mainly a protein line, so I don't think you wanna go that route. I'd try cowashing with something really moisturizing like Aussie Moist. I used Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine (I think. . .sleek and something!) to co-wash, did Silk Elements moisturizing treatment, and then followed with Garnier S&S leave-in...my 6 weeks new growth (which is a lot thanks to MT/castor oil) was smooooth as silk. Maybe not silk, but close! Hehe. . .I recommend it.

Hello,

What's "MSM"?

Methylsulfonylmethane, do a search for MSM and you'll find a lot of info. You will have to search through google or something--search MSM,longhairforum. people use it for healthy hair growth, it is also used to help joint health. My knees normally crack and pop like crazy but when I take the MSM, they are fine, plus I have more flexibility.

Thanks SN, got it! Called local drugstore - NADA. Now I have to find out pricing and purchasing 4-1-1.

Dang, they even changed the Keratin/Green Tea Spray:sad:.

aphogee question:

do you leave the 2 minute constructor in for 2 or 5 miuntes? with do you personally prefer?

I usually try to do an "express" shower on wash day, so I leave it on w/ a cap while I shower. I'm guessing that's about 10-15 mins.

I like the old version of the 2 Min Reconstructor the only product I have use from Aphogee.
I still see plenty of old version of Aphogee products in my area they are not popular at all.
Some of the newer Bss have the old versions of products on the sale rack for $ 3 dollars.

I just hate when they mess up a good thing. They completely changed the ingredients in the "new" aphogee. Now they have cones. After I use up my old 2-min reconstructor, I'm on the hunt for a new one. #$%%$@@#$
