How often are you guys coloring your hair? I'm using color rinses. Just curious, seems like my gray is coming in faster then my new growth:lachen::lachen:

What is Henna??? I've read other thread and the world Henna has come up??? Does sally carry Henna? and what do you mean "use the right one?":ohwell:

ooh girl, you might get excited after you learn about it.

OK, henna is a natural dye.
It is permanent and dye the hair a reddish color. If you do not want red, you can use indigo which will dye your hair jet black.
Henna also makes you hair very strong and shiny.

Henna comes in a powder and people mix the powder with water and usually let it sit overnight or so for the color to release.

In order for the color to release faster people use lemon juice and other things BUT these can be VERY drying to the hair and most people recommend not using the lemon juice (terps).

And you cant use just any henna for your hair so don't pick up any old henna package from the BSS.

Your henna has to be 100%. Jamila henna I believe is safe to use.

Anything that is not 100% is called COMPOUND HENNA.

DO NOT USE IT. The results ARE NOT GOOD:nono::nono:

There are plenty of threads about henna. Do a search and read others peoples testimonies about it. You must do your research.:yep:

I have never used it but when I get grays, I'll be going for the henna.

I only have gray on my edges. To me nothing makes me look older like gray edges. Sometimes I re-apply my rinse weekly only to my edges and keep it on while I deep condition. My color washes off quickly from washing my face and co-washing.

Oh Yeah, question: I thought henna was not for relaxed hair. Can it be used safely on relaxed hair?

I don't have a set time for a rinse. I just do it whenever I feel there is too much in the front and especially when people start making comments about them.:wallbash:

yes henna can be used on relaxed hair but please read the henna threads thoroughly before you use it.
