I just read the thermasmooth thread.

Which line would you guys say is better overall? I did a search and couldn't fin done with a comparison.

mizani wins (for me) hands down. keracare dried my hair out something awful. i do love their high sheen glossifier though.

now there are some products from mizani that i don't like (like the h20 stuff in the smaller jar), but overall mizani is wayyyy better for my hair.

I voted for both. There are a few things I like in both lines and there are a few things I don't like in both.

I am voting for KeraCare. I almost exclusively use the products at home and it has done wonders for my hair. My hairdresser uses the Mizani Butter Blends relaxer on my hair and I love it, but the other Mizani products didn't do much for me. I really think you have to see which line works best for your hair. I started to just use KeraCare products and saw a difference in about 3 weeks, so make sure you give it some time (which ever line you choose).

TEAM MIZANI!

That H2o Rosehip creme is good.
Best relaxer application I ever had. Never tried Butterblends though...

Although Keracare can stand strong by itself now.
I just haven't used all of their products...

I like them both. KeraCare's Dry and Itchy Scalp is great. Mizani's conditioners moisturize my hair more. Both lines have products I like.

I like the entire Keracare line. I have been using it for years. I only like 3 products by Mizani that I have repurchased: the Night Time treatment, H2O moisturizer and the Shyne Spray. I am currently using the Butter Blend relaxer but I will try one more application before making a decision to use it permanently.

I use mizani sensitive scalp relaxer. But I just started buying KeraCare products and they are soo good.:lick:
I have really dry hair and it actually moisturizes it and keeps it soft and bouncy. But then the PJ in me saw the mizani thread and made me wonder if Mizani was actually better.

Which doesn't have mineral oil? I got a few keracare products to review and a bunch had mineral oil...even the regular conditioner had mineral oil..

I like Mizani. I just bought their butter blends system so I'm really excited to see how well it does. :lick: Yay!

I've used KeraCare and it was good product wise. Never had a relaxer from them.

I like both lines, but I would say KeraCare - only because of my beloved Humecto! If it didn't have the mineral oil and paraben, it would be the "perfect" product for me. Mizani is a really good line as well, though.

I like both lines so it's hard to pick. I do especially love Mizani's Moisturefuse...excellent stuff! I like Keracare's Humidity Block spray. It's nice and it works! I want to try mizani's humidity block spray too! Either way you can't go wrong with either line.

Do Mizani products contain SLS (sulfates) or mineral oil?

None of the conditioners have mineral oil. Styling products? maybe. I definitely know that the Mizani Thermastrength Style Serum does but it is excellent and doesn't dry out my hair at all. I used it for blow drying and flat ironing and my hair was very soft and also had bounce and shine. I also had 0 breakage after using heat and I owe it to the serum.

As for sulfates, their Botanifying poo has one sulfate which is the gentle sulfate. The puriphying poo (clarifying) also only has one sulfate but I can't recall if it was one of the gentle ones. All I know is that the shampoos were very gentle and moisturizing. I think they're excellent Although I don't use them now, I may go back to the botanifying poo since it was soo good to me. The pj in me caused me to stray:drunk:.

WHY did you start this post? WHY?

The Keracare and the Mizani is in a dead heat....NOW I gotta go and get both of them....:ohwell:

Off to the $###$$$&&* BSS......

I just read the thermasmooth thread.

Which line would you guys say is better overall? I did a search and couldn't fin done with a comparison.

Ooooh this is kind of hard. I like Mizani cause it very conditioning. The relaxer and the Thermasmooth Conditioner which I use for co wash. However the Keracare Leave in Conditioner is good to my hair too. Matter of fact I just reordered some Keracare Leave in last week. You can't go wrong with these two brands at all.

I planning on transitioning to Kera Care exclusively, but because of this thread and because of the moisturefuse conditioner, I want to use Mizani too! :(

I like both. I use a few products from each line. I like Mizani's BB relaxer, and have used the H2O for over a year as my main moisturizer. I like KeraCare's shampoo and conditioner, tho (Hydrating poo and Humecto).

i will vote for both. i love the mizani night time treatment and the moisturfuse conditioner but keracare 1st lather and creme hairdress are my staples. i also like humecto and the oils. but my hair hated the foam wrap and the hydrating and detaingling shampoo.
so there are more products from the keracare line that i like but i have staples from both lines.

I have used nearly every product from each line. I voted for KeraCare because overall I get more consistent results from KeraCare. However, I do LOVE Mizani shampoos and conditioners too. Like I said, I used both lines and I have products from each line in my closet, but if I had to pick - I'd want the entire KeraCare line.

Mizani Moisturefuse is the bomb! So is KeraCare Humecto!

I use products from both lines. My staples that I use weekly are Keracare Hydrating Poo and Humecto conditioner, alternating with Keracare's Intensive Restorative Masque biweekly. I get my hair relaxed with Mizani Butter Blends and I do protein treatments with the Custom Blend Treatment (before and after relaxers). I follow the Custom Blend Treatment with Moisturfuse. Both lines serve their respective purposes for my hair :yep:.

Keracare is the TRUTH!! Oooh I just love everything about this line. It has some Mineral Oil in some of it's products so I wasn't feeling that, but the Detangling Poo is AWESOME! Humecto keeps my hair so moistuized and healthy looking and the leave in oil sheen and moisturizer all work well if used exclusively!! I love that whole line!

I've never used the Mizani Line, I'll admint.....But I LOVE the Kera Care line.......I've been using it for the past two years, it's always left my hair feeling moisturized.

I love Mizani. Keracare is too heavy for my hair. I think it's better suited for thicker/coarser textures. I have fine hair.

I still love the entire Keracare line. But, I have to say that I prefer the Butter Blend relaxer over the Affirm. The Affirm made my hair bone straight and the Butter Blend gives it a lot more body.

In addition to the three Mizani products that I mentioned, I am also a fan of the Silk Finishing gel. It has a light hold and it really tames the edges.

My favorite Keracare product is the Silken Seal and I really like the Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner for color treated hair.
