I have very gray roots - and last night after perming my hair I tried mixing my 50% henna and 50% indigo together (to save time). I left it on my hair for about 3 hrs. Did a roller set and this morning to my dismay....my gray roots are now a nice "clown red". :lachen:Can I put Indigo on my clown hair one or two days later or do I have to start over and henna then indigo to get that natural black that I love so much. Help Me!

I'm not sure. Since you already did a 50/50 henna and indigo, I think you can do just apply indigo on the roots. From what I've read, most people apply straight henna first and then the indigo.

:yep:

I found a few links below, but do another search on "indigo gray" for more info.

(I only have a few grays near the crown and two in my hairline, but I'm going to save these links in my journal for the future.)

Thanks so much for the feedback. I will look at these links. And I will know better next time. I usually Henna first for 2 - 3 hrs and then indigo for 1 - 2 hrs and my hair comes out a natural black that I love. But this time I was trying to cut corners.

Thanks again.
