why do you want to cut your hair?

My hair is a mess

I have 3 different levels of processing on my head. My ends are bone straight and from what they have been looking like lately, they are overprocessed, the middle is more "Texlaxed" and my roots are very coily and wavy thanks to megatek. My ends have been splitting more latley despite my decrease in heat and manipulation and the are getting more easily tangled and knotted up. As much as I hate it, I think I just need to let them go.

This year is proving to be very trying hair wise.

I'm drying my rollerset right now but I still have curls reppin' on the side that don't want to lay down.I'm sick of all of these different lengths. The short pieces can't wrap all the way around the roller and they get frizzy:sad:

I'm mad that I ordered avocado oil and got sweet almond oil instead

I'm trying to decide on what my next style is going to be. I'm not sure if I want micros or senegalese twists.:look:

Well there is no use in keeping dead ends so I say just cut them so that you will only have two levels of processing. your hair will grow back faster and healthier. Do you currently get chemicals in your hair? You you plan to keep it texlaxed? I am new to LHCF is this a texlax a texturizer?

This is me too, gym.:yep: Next time I get my hair relaxed, I was gonna tell the stylist to run some of the relaxer further down the hair shaft so my textures can match. Its annoying having all these different textures.

i really want a trim but i am terrified of going to someone in fear that they will chop all my hair off! I really love the look of freshly trimmed hair, i could use a quarter inch taken off. thinking about going to the folks at super cuts who dont have reason to hate. . .

also starting to take out some of my braids

Get the senegalese twist
I had them for a month while transitioning, I loved them, and they helped my hair grow alot. When I had micro's it did more damage than good, but everyones hair is different. Senegalese twist work for me micro's do not, but it's your choice:yep:

I am on my way to my stylist now.. getting a little bit trimmed off also, to get rid of the bone straight ends.. I am mostly texlaxed now!

I think you are right. No need to hold on to it. Texlaxing is just relaxing but not processing fully. Kinda like underprocessing on purpose.

Hopefully it won't take long for them to get your order corrected.

Hey Shunta! Gosh I love your hair.

I feel like I will never get there sometimes:nono:

i am no longer a pj. yay.
well i found out what works for me. and they are: paul mitchell's the detaingler, paul mitchell's moisture mist, ojon hydrating shampoo and conditioner, ojons restoritive treatment and mist, keracare 1st lather, silicon mix and mizani moisturfuse.
i have a bunch of products i need to use up before i can start to only use the products that work but im proud of myself. i've finally begun to use up products. i went through 3 bottles of vo5 conditioner, 1 fekkai shea conditioner, 1 aveda brilliant, 1 paul mitchell the detaingler.
im so proud of myself, im finally using it up.

I am now officially a hair fanatic. I took today off because I wasnt feeling well and spent at least 2 hours looking around for a salon I can trust to do a weave for me.

I wanted to transition and get braids yesterday but the lady who was supposed to do it wanted over 200 dollars ( after going to the dominicans for years at 15 dollars a pop it was pretty hard for me to try something different). I ended up getting a perm and totally regret it now but I am now going to get presses/weaves and braids for the next 6 months to see if I am 100% in doing this.

My straight hair is soooooooo boring to me now. I saw a book filled with natural styles including locks :yep: and I'm excited.

I am on Mega-tek and love it so far. I even got my mom to use it and she is seeing a lot of thickness at her temples so she is happy.

I need to find another hair fanatic in jersey so I can bond lol. Its kinda boring to talk to my friends/mom about it because they could care less ( and their hair shows it :look: ).

senegalese twists are so beautiful! i've always wanted to get them.

Get the senegalese twist

I'm getting tree braids for the first time on Saturday. I'm a little scared because I've never had them before. But, I'm hoping they'll be easier to take care of than a sew-in weave so that I can use them as my protective style until I make my goal of full SL.

I found the person on the internet and usually I would never go to someone random but I need my hair done for my church convention that's next week. Hopefully, it'll all work out and I'll love it.

I'm getting a digital camera tomorrow so I will definitely post pictures.

Thanks Meki! I've had micros more times than I can count :perplexed but they last long. I'm really leaning towards the senegalese twists because I want something different. I'll probably get it done in a few weeks and I'll post pics when I do.:yep:

I say senegalese twists. I love them and can't wait to get them again. Do you wash your hair while it's braided up?

I am so tired of my different textures and lengths myself. Especially my right side. Sometimes I just hate hair...ooops did I say that?:look:

Yes, I wash it and I noticed that it grows faster when I do. I think one of the reasons why I had so much breakage when I wore braids was because I didn't wash them enough. I started using an applicator bottle filled with baking soda and water to clarify and cowashing when I had my kinky twists a few months ago.

I using up my extra conditioners. I want to stick to my staples Organix, HE, LeKair Cholesterol Plus, ORS Replenishing and Cabellina. I'm wondering about the whole Pantene Breakage Defense Mask thing if its really being discontinued.

I think that's why I had such horrible breakage with micros...not washing. Anyways with senegelase the ends are out do you wet those too? do they get bushy? Cause I was gonna get me some more done as soon as I started working again to jumpstart some growth plus it's just too hot.

I'm bored with my hairstyles, again. *sigh* I wish I wasn't so cheap, or I'd go and get braids put in, or something.

What I'll really end up doing is just two strand twisting it, and ignoring it.

I'm wondering if I should trim now or wait to the end of summer. My hair is usually braided or in twists.

I'm thinking about using a cellophane on my hair although I do have some Henna that I have never used.

Hey Gym! :wavey:

I bought some jojoba oil on lunch today. I'm going to add it to my spray bottle for my roller set tonite, along with water and Salerm 21. I'll see what kind of results I get.

My hair is... I dunno. My ends are looking thin to me. But I have to keep reminding myself that it's because my hair is growing, not necessarily because they are damaged. I'm just in a very awkward stage right now and I honestly can't wait to be past it.

I have been lazy w/ applying my MegaTek. For the month of August, I'm gonna stick with my regimen.

My crown is really disturbing me. I have been trying to overlook it and give it time... I always wrote it off as the 'slowest growing area on my head'... but something is telling me that it's deeper than that; there may be permanent damage that is keeping that area from growing all together. :( I'm definitely not going to relax it anymore and see if that improves it. But it's very discouraging; it looks like it's the exact same length as my starting pics. :(

I think my new place has hard water. Eventually I will get a shower filter; til then I'll just chelate a little more often.

I think I am going to try Phyto II at my next touchup. I have been contemplating it ever since I joined LHCF, but I think I'm actually going to try it.
*whew* That's it... :giggle:
