I'm on a mission to keep all of the broke members up to date on my frugal-yet-beautiful :gorgeous: product discoveries. Just cuz I'm reluctant to part with a dollar doesn't mean I don't want to look lovely!

Today I deep conditioned with Suave Professionals Humectant conditioner, a staple of the cheap arsenal. After I rinsed out, I applied my new purchase: Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Leave-in Split End Protector for Long Hair. The price: $3.49 for the 6 oz pump-top bottle. It may be available cheaper somewhere else... YMMV.

It has silk protein in it, and red raspberry juice. The front says it has satin, but I didn't see it on the ingredient list on back. Dimethicone is in there, sorry cone-free ladies.

Instead of just applying it to the ends, as the directions say, I applied it to my nape (broken and beady) and my edges, and then slathered some down the length of my hair for good measure. The ends did get an extra helping, too.

It's thick and creamy, with a scent that literally made my stomach growl. It melted right into my hair, and man oh man, what a difference! My ends feel, well, like silk! :gorgeous: I'll keep using this after every wash for sure. I'll let you know how my progress is affected.

Anyone else try this product? I  leave-ins! :lick:

I love both of the products you mentioned

I get the ltr leave in for just over $2.50 or so

I bought the big bottles of suave humectant at sams for $5 for 2

Awww- now I'm salty that I spent too much. pouting

I knew I wouldnt get the best price today, though, cuz I bought these at Shop-Rite. The BSS was just down the street, but having to put the kids into thier carseats, then take them out, then put them in again, and out again... all that hullaballoo is worth spending an extra buck.

I shop at BJ's (which is kinda like Sam's) and I'll have to check for jumbo packs of condish next time I'm there. :yep:

at walmart the LTR is 2.50 per bottle and 5$ for the big bottle, i just bought the conditioner because i dont hear much about the shamps.

Im broke & frugal... I buy the LTR Leave in ( both LTR and No More Frizziness) at Walmart... they are on top of my faves list

i wonder if she means sam's like sams club or sam's like the BSS that i never knew existed cause i live in VA. someone told me sams had JBCO and i had already grabbed my car keys before they came back and clarified. LMAO

i want to try the conditioners but i cant find the leave-in at all wal-marts. the leave in is slightly more expensive than the conditioner for a bottle half the size :look: i paid 2.94 for the leave-in, 6oz, and the 12oz condish was 2.50

suave humectant is on my list for sure...i really liked the LTR leave-in till i discovered giovanni direct and just plain mixing my cowash condishes with water in a spray bottle. even cheaper.

thanks for the reviews!

yeah their shampoos are so-so. I tried the Hello Hydration Shampoo(in trial size thank goodness :look:) and it sucked bad. The conditioner is one of the best drug store brands out there though :yep:

another cheapie that i LOVE is v05 Tea Tree Conditioner ... man this give my hair no tangles and much slip. I use it for my co washes but the only bad thing about it is that it runs alot than your usual con like it is drenched with too much water (when i bought the bottle it opened in my bag and about 5% came out on alll my products i bought) but other than that it will go quick lol. I think i have bout 80% left and i just got it thursday. they are on sale at my local grocery store for .86$ ... defintiely going to get some !

I have used the conditioner to rave reviews; that cond will always be in mmy rotation. Now for the leave in. I only recently just started using this and I love it. I only used a little like 2 quarter sized amounts. I run it through all of my hair and I love the way that it makes my hair feel and the scent is absolutley amazing. This too will always have a place in my rotation

Herbal Essence Long term Split end leave conditioner hummmmm? I just happen to be in the market for a new leave in conditioner. I was using Aphogee but I think it has a little too much protein in it for me. So lately I have been using the gentle treatment leave in conditioner that comes in my relaxer box. I know I know kill myself.:wallbash:
