So i did it. I was trying to give the long term transitioning a shot but i am not good at styling the two textures. My relaxed hair was very thin and fine and the natural parts are pretty curly so there was not a seamless blend. I struggled with it and frankly i was CLINGLING to ends that were in desperate need of some help. I was reduced to a constant bun and the natural parts refused to lay down and blend, they only liked the weight of the gel so they curled up.

So i decided to do it. I had taken the weave out early anyways so I figured today was a good day, as i had nothing else to do.

I saturated my hair with conditioner, and then I let my aunt chop it off

It looks good to me. I went from APL to ear...

I have no idea what hair type i am. Andre's system doesnt describe what my hair does. It is a variety of curly but most of it seems to be this 3c everyone is claiming.. When i put gel on it it is spirally, much looser than a pen spring so not 4a some parts are very loose like 3bs but most looks the size of a pen...

I dont think i will be using his system

please excuse my face.:look:

wow it suits you very well. i love it! and now you share a BC date with my mom cause i just chopped hers off...lol

as far as your texture i say wait a week before trying to figure it out...my texture changed in the first couple of days, i guess cause my hair had to get used to going without all that extra weight on the ends.

how long did you transition?

I transitioned for about 5 months. I really tried, but i just am not that skilled with rollersetting. The last time i was natural I transitioned for a year before i chopped.

You have the cutest face ever! And that BC just brought out your beauty more. :yep: Congratulations on the lovely makeover!
