how long does your hair have to be to go to the dominicans?? I've been wanting to go but i dont think my hair is long enough...Has anyone been that has a twa/ta??

I personally think you should be able to go. Your hair looks long enough. However some do say that they do not do "virgin" hair ( I'm guessing that to mean non-permed hair) so I'd go and look around to find one that will do your hair. Good luck.

you can go. i've seen people with hair shorter go. if you are looking for one in the DMV i personally love Visions in adams morgan.

You can go. I've seen people with shorter hair there before. Just make sure they don't scorch your hair. I went for the first time maybe 6 months ago but they did not roll my hair. They blowdried it and then flat ironed.

Your hair is long enough.
Was this a recommended place or you're going because its a Dominican salon?

You don't need much hair, because when I went from natural to relaxed they cut nearly all of my hair off to start from scratch again their way. That was the second time I was near bald  Yeah, but any good Dominican stylist should be able to work with atleast 3" of hair!

Just be careful. Not all salons are created equal. I'm Dominican myself and I've been to good salons and bad ones. Just make sure you talk to whoever is going to do your hair and tell them exactly what you want.

Good luck and take pictures so we can see your hair!

Also be aware that the few I've been to in DC have signs posted that they charge like $10 extra for natural hair.

This is true. The one I went to charged me double. It was only $10 more than I paid my usual stylist and I needed my hair done last min so I didn't trip but its something to keep in mind.
