Fotki Warning

After checking my guest list over these past few weeks,there have been a few strange people in my fotki.They don't have any avatars,friends lists,or guestbooks.I searched one of the names using google and a youtube chanel with a ton of hair vids popped up and he left someone a comment saying he was a "fan" so I believe these are people with hair fetishes.

I know some of you might not care who is looking at the back of your head(or face..)getting their jollies off(or whatever the hell they doerplexed)since this is a public forum anyway, but to those of you who do I just thought I'd give you the heads up.

I ended up locking mine because of weirdos visiting.

One whose albums I visited had a folder named "Sally" and the people in his guestbook were begging to see more pictures of "Sally". So I went to one of THEIR albums and they had pictures of scantily clad women dressed as french maids and stuff. That's when I figured that "Sally" was not a pet name for that person's hair like I'd hoped .

Girl - I feel ya. For me - this started abour 6 months ago.

I don't have my face or body anywhere in my fotki so I don't care if someone looks at my hair photos. If there is someone with a fetish I still don't care.

Anytime anyone starts a thread about weirdos stalking their Fotkis I go check mine (because I never do otherwise) and I never have strangers like that. I'm starting to feel neglected.

What can I do to be down? I like freaks. I wonder if I can make money off my hairy arms and big head?

I'm really not sure.I have my options so that I don't appear in the fotki random pics and you can't see my guestbook if you're not logged in so your guess is just as good as mine.Like I said earlier,them coming to the fotkis wasn't really what bothered me-nothing on the internet is private and I know that.I was more bothered by the "fan" comment.It was kind of like all righty then.

They don't stock my fotki either Sareca so don't feel too bad. I may or may not lock mine but i'm seriously thingking of lockng it. It's just that I have so much helpful info in there that I feel bad about locking it up, however on the flip side of the coin, there are many persons who add me to their friends list and don't even have the courtesy to sign my dang guest book. I mean What the heck is up with that!!!

I need to look at my guest book. I really don't worry about that kind of stuff. If you worry about what you can't control you'll bring that kind of stuff to you. I haven't worried and have yet to get a weirdo, but I will check. Now watch me have to lock down my fotki because there is some weirdo lurking. What other people do don't bother me, I just hope they don't put any pics of me out there, but most of my pics are of my hair and if they want to get their jollies off on a pic of the back of my head, I hope it relieved some frustration...

Ladies that have this issue, do you have "yes" indicated in your fotki where it mentions search engines?
Under My Settings there is a question of the search engine (fotki and others). I typically select no. I think this might be a way to limit strangers to your pics. Just a suggestion.

I haven't been having these kinds of problems but you could never be too careful so I just changed this particular setting in my fotki. Thanks for the look out.

I also have it set to where only my friends can leave comments in my GB. This may cut down on the rude/snide remarks some people are receiving.

i never had this problem. i dont share pics(put them in the search engine and only fotki members can see pics & stuff but I may change it to fotki friends only.

It's hard as a newbie, with no friends, to be inspired by everyone's pics because we get "locked out"! Do you just PM someone for their password? Does that make you a wierdo ?

Is there a way for only LHCF members to veiw your pics and not the whole world???

I want to start a fotki (awaiting internet service here in Italy) but how do I get friends???? I don't want my fotki t be lonely !!!

Another option is to password protect your fotki and ONLY put the password in your LHCF profile. Just now I Googled "pw" on this site and received over 3500 results. I could see on the first page that most of them said "pw in profile", so I did it again and excluded the word "profile" from my search. I got over 500 hits, so without having a membership here I could find 1) the links to fotkis of members; 2) passwords to those fotkis. Any password that is put in the thread or siggy is up for public grabs.
