DH offered me $200 plus costs to get my hair done

Im "only" week 9 into a planned 12 week stretch... I had even considered transitioning again...

my summer hairstyle(s) has been pretty boring.... co-wash and/or henna then wear a ponytail...

I just told him that I may not go to work tonight and he answered by saying...Does this mean you have a hair appt in the morning

I tell him only if he has $200 ( I meant to pay for some micros or something similar).... he replied I will pay you $200 AND pay for your hair appt...


Im at a loss for words....

yes, Ive not only run out of quick protective styles, Im not in the least creative and lazy when it comes to my hair

he had been saying he didnt liek my hair like this and hinted at going back to a TWA but damn... he didnt have to be so blunt...

so now, Im REALLY considering the TWA cuz I dont have the energy or inclination to do much else with my hair unless I can slap it into a ponytail

Have you tried braidouts or even a roller set?
ETA: Do you like phony ponies? You can add them to your pony and just keep it moving during the day.

the thing is... Im not fond of weaves for ME... and though Ive had much progress with my hair in general, Ive sworm off micros, especially until my edges fill in ( its been like 6 months and I still have peachfuzz)

I guess I could do something looser like 2 or 4 Senegalese braids ( AGAIN) as I did in the Spring

I hate that he actually prefers the TWA after all Ive been thru

I'm 28 weeks post (transitioning) and I have just started to just slap a wig on top of my head when I have to go out. DH HATES wigs (remind him of someone being scalped) but he is down for the cause and dealing with it....so long as I keep the wig out of sight. I did a braid out yesterday (not that successful) but I would not give up on growing out your hair this soon.

So interesting...my BF did the EXACT same thing last week...guess he's sick of staring at the 'fro too! I so didn't want to take it, and haven't decided what to do yet. I complained b/c I really wanted micros but had to pay for tuition, so he offered me the money. The ten crisp 20 dollar bills are sitting on my dresser. Take the $200 and buy some Curlformers. They are great way to style your hair when stretching relaxer. SouthernTease and QueenT have got great curls and styles. QueenT hadn't relaxed for 13 weeks when she posted her curly results and SouthernTease was transitioning and hadn't did a relaxer for 1 whole year.
They also helped me and my twin sister style and stretch easier in between relaxers.

I think the cornrows will be real cute, PF - there is someone on here now who has these TIGHT tiny cornrows - I wish I could remember her screenname, but I always admire the conrrows in her siggy - they look really good!

so I say, SERIOUSLY.... if you could have your way... he sayss well I prefer it short and with no perm... and I say, well I AM sorta transitioning... I proceed to show him the line of demarcation

so he asks if there any salons that specialize in styles for this....I tell him thats what I have LHCF for... and I tell him about the protective styles & such but that during the "in between" stage, Im kinda limited unless I wear weaves/wigs.... he frowned and said NEVER MIND... continue on like ya been doing then
