I have seen some beautiful heads from using this stuff and would like to know how everyone is using this. Sometimes I am just finding myself getting a little tired of the black, but its beautiful.

I know that its a hair lightner, but hopefully its not a permanent thing and not harsh like a permanent hair color even though its not a color.

I believe this is what my aunt (a stylist) put on my hair several years ago. I loved it, it was very pretty. However, the clear is kind of tricky because you don't control the color. The formula naturally lifts whatever is the natural color family of your hair. I would suppose that you leave it on for different amounts of time depending on how light you want it. My hair turned a light honey brown but my mom's hair turned auburn. i also believe that it was permanent. You may want to do a strand test to make sure you like the color that it lifts to. HTH

Thanks for the info. Ya I dont want to mess up anything, but I am only wanting to lift my natural color just a little. I love the colors also around in the auburn family. Maybe some others will chime in that have used it because I dont want to be bald :nono: and need to know how they applied and if they can guide me with direction if I decide to go ahead and apply it.

Don't mean to call nobody out, but send Marbel (or Mar-bel) a PM. She's the first person I heard about it from and her hair is pretty. She'll probably be in here anyway once she sees the title

From what I was reading on their site it seems to be a hair lightener. Since it's a milder formula it can only lighten 1 level. It is permanent since it's lifting off the color. As for the harshness of it I don't know because anything that is lifting color off your hair is somewhat harsh. They say this can be used prior to a semi to deepen the color deposit. I don't know it if have gone there but clairol has a website called the creative studio in which they list all their professional and non professional products including this one.

I used it 5 weeks ago and have not had any issues.
I followed the directions on the box and didn't notice much difference at first. Now, in the sun, I can see the reddish tint that it lifted my hair too. I wanted it a little lighter, but I was scared of doing damage so I just stuck with the 10 minute directions rule. In the next few weeks I plan to do it again.

Oh, let me add that I use a mild protein weekly so I think this helps in keeping my hair strong and prevents any breakage that might want to occur.

It is a very simple product to use and I liked it. I wish I had known about it before as I would have tried it years ago. I probably will try the color ones in the future, but the clear does well for me right now. I purchased mine from Sally's.

Thanks for the info and glad to hear that it came put well for you. I would love to see pictures.

ok i finally used this last saturday. I only left it on for 8 minutes because I was scared of damaging my hair. It said to leave on 6-10 minutes. 6 for relaxed hair. I wanted it to work so I used it for a little longer.

My hair is lighter but not really that noticable except for a small section in the front. I also use John Freida Color Glaze and that really made the color pop. My hair is noticeably browner now that I used that over it. I really like it. I have no damage to my hair either. I dc'd after and my hair feels soft and strong.

Overall I would definitely use it again and reccomend it.

I used it... not the clear tho... i used the gold one... I only used it to lift my black out as recommended by another member... it didn't remove all of it but the parts that lifted was a dark brown with a reddish tint... there is some black in the front left.

As someone said earlier... try to pm Marbel.. i dont wanna call her out but she has a GORGEOUS head of blond hair and she been using it for years... she may be able to answer your questions better than anyone else
