I'm a Newbie still trying different stuff to see what will work for me in the long run. I've come across so many product recommendations in this forum - its sometimes over whelming.

I'm just wondering if you ladies wouldn't mind sharing what your tried and true products are. The ones you have stuck with for at least a year or more and will still "swear" by. Or maybe ones you've come across lately which you are sure is a definite long term KEEPER.

Proclaim glossing polish-after every wash/cowash, nice sheen, tame frizz, & smooth ends
Profectiv megagrowth- I've been slacking on this one, my hair suffers without it
Sulfur 8; I know what you mean, I've been trying too much stuff lately, too. I think that's set me back, because I now have a lot of breakage.:ohwell: but, it's the only way to find what works or doesn't work for your hair. trial & error. the stuff I've tried in my hair, worked better in my mom's hair. her texture is diff, her hair is doing better than mine:sad:

CON moisturizing poo, been used since childhood and I'm buying all I see cuz when it's gone, it's gone!

Silicon Mix DC- some love it, others loathe it. Gives me great slip and has allowed me to lengthen my stretches (currently 30 wks post).

D'Fina 11 en 1 DC-same reason as above. Actually, almost all of my Dominican conditioners are keepers

JBCO, EVCO, EVOO-where would I be w/o you?

WRTC-*SLAP MYSELF* I just remember you said you were a newbie and I may be using WAY too many acronyms, sorry! JBCO= Jamaican Black Castor Oil, EVCO= Extra Vrigin Coconut Oil, EVOO= Olive Oil, WRTC= White Rain Tropical Coconut conditioner.

I have others, but these are just off rip always on my shopping list.

I've been using Joico Products for a year, but I did switch from their k-pak line to their moisturizing line though.

Nexxus Therappe Shampoo and Humectress Conditioner, Redken All Soft Shampoo and Heavy Cream Conditioner. I switch up between these two lines about once a year. Good stuff.

ORS replenishing pack- great mild protein treatment, moisturizing and detangling

Joico Moisture Recovery- not exactly a year yet but I love it

Kenra MC- Not exactly a year yet either but GREAT stuff, love it, buy it in liter sizes

Pantene Relaxed and Natural Mask- can't live without it, always have a backup stash of this

CON -- green bottle
Nexxus Headress & Aloe Rid
LeKair Cholesterol
Elasta QP Recovery Oil Moisturizer

ORS replenishing pack- great mild protein treatment, moisturizing and detangling

hey sweetie,

are you using the poo from either line? If so, which do you find more moisturizing?

Aphogee (the hard stuff)

CON shampoo green bottle

KeraCare Hydrating Detangling shampoo

Salerm21

NTM

These things will always be in my repertoire.

Elasta QP Intense Fortifying Con - love it long time.
Premier Cream Rinse - only know it for a while, but it's the best leave-in EVER.
Henna - though, we've had our ups and downs this year, and we aren't as tight as we used to be, I still have a soft spot for the henna.
Mega-Tek - sweet goddess, I might actually have found a growth aid I can stick with. I'll have to come back in a year and see if I'm still talking the same yang....

biolage fortetherapie deep cond- hair feels soft and strong not mushy
biolage ultra hydrating balm cond- great slip, very moisturizing
pantene r&n mask- what a great product for such a little price
freeman sea kelp moisturizing cond- so cheap, but so thick and good!!
HE LTR conditioner- smells great, great slip, good price
HE LTR leave in- very moisturizing
Sebastians potion #9- great combo of good ingredients, lasts a long time
ORS Creamy aloe chelating shampoo-

As far as I am concerned, so far these are all the products that I need

ooh i like this thread...
I have stuck with:
Coconut/Castor oil
ORS shampoo
Dove mist (close to a year)
HE replenishing conditioner

Kenra MC, Elucence MB, and Giovanni Direct Leave in.

I will say, the Giovanni conditioners that I have been using could very well replace my Kenra MC and Elucence MB . Something about that line really really agrees with my hair and that is *rare*.. which is why i've always defaulted back to Elucence and Kenra. Giovanni and I are >>here<<< :yep:.
