Ouchless bands

I bought these last year and most of them are still new and unused. However, they have taken on a strange texture. When I stretched them, they feel yucky now. They can be stretched out of shape permanently as if they have no elastic threads in them. I can’t use them for my hair now, so I won’t be buying anymore. Has anyone had this experience?

I won’t be taking them back to the store either, because I bought them last year and I used a few.

Ouchless or elastic bands and i are no longer friends. I keep getting breakage from these things. I think i just can bring myself to making a loose ponytail. I have alot that i haven't used neither.

Yea the same thing happened to mine. It was black and now it's zebra looking and gooey. I just clip it up now with a claw. I'm going to get some flexi 8 clips eventually.

Sounds like the elastic degraded - have they been someplace hot?

I use the flat scrunchi bands, now - they work SO much better on my hair.

Exactly!!! That's why I'm not buying anymore, and these are the new ones that I bought last year.

I only use cut stockings for my hair.

It seems to do well for my hair - and it is MUCH cheaper than using those bands.

Those bands rip my hair out.

No, I put them under the facebowl with my other hair goodies. In fact, they were re-closed in the original plastic package.

This has happened to me too. They get all gooey after awhile. Like some of the other ladies, I use an old knee hi or panty hose piece now. Works much better too!

Yes, this just happened to me! I tried rinsing it, but that didn't work. I was so grossed out that I just threw it out.
