Mook's post about co-washes was just a play on words of the OP.
Replacing the OP's words of relaxer and textlax with co-wash, wash and conditioner.![]()
Mook's post definitely got the point across.![]()
I ain't speaking for the OP or nothing... hell I don't even know her, but I don't see her as saying natural is better or anything... just wondering why the hell folks say they texlaxed instead just saying they relaxed
Ya'll still in here cutting up, huh?![]()
I think there might be an issue with chemicals period here, thats just what I'm thinking, I could be wrong though!
Its like the op doesnt want any 'other' categories, only relaxed or natural, because texlaxed ladies might still look close to natural, she want to make sure they know they cant claim natural status
again I COULD be wrong though![]()
yeah and it LOOKS like I'm gonna have to buy my fruit from the grocery store! I just learnt this on this thread!

That is why people use it. Texlaxed hair generally does have different moisture and protein requirements than people who process more fully so that is one reason why people put that into their posts when they ask for advice.
Do you have a lot of fruit trees? Maybe you should try an in-ground irrigation system?
yeah i gotta plant them first, they are just on my patio right now in planters!
I got too many trees, the trees are killin me!
peach
grape
avacacodo
lemon
lime
orange
pomagranate
plum
1 other one i cant remember
and a bunch of palms
and I gotta take care of them more than my hair, my fish, my dog, my cat ......CRAZY!
. . .thats why they say texlaxing. its not denying they have relaxed hair, they just dont relax it bone straight so there is still a lot of curls and/or texture. texture-tex, relaxing-laxing which = texlaxing.
ok its not that serious everybody its a question??? Are we not allowed to askk questions??
Dang, you're not playing! Don't forget the Miracle Gro. Don't be surprised if you catch me raiding your trees. I may start planting a few next year.

Girl, you are blessed.
I love fruit trees and will have a fruit garden in a few years.
Its not that, you just seem to have a record of asking off the wall questions....nothing more nothing less

sweetie you are relaxing, you're no more natural..... well, a texlaxed chick can reply, "sweetie, why does this rent space in your head?"
Can someone please set this straight.... I know i'm going to get some mean responses, but whatever... you knew you were gonna trigger some ish in here, at least you admitted it.
yeah but no fruit! unlike someone else I know!
I need her to come talk to my trees![]()
it really did have all kind of covert tones of insinuations, connotations, implications and denotations
did all those really apply?

It never bothered me. I don't get the feeling that someone is trying to deny they are relaxed just because they choose the term 'texlax'. There is no way to deny being relaxed if u r. They don't leave it on long which loosens the texture. I on the other hand relax bone 'straight'
I don't think that the problem is to be relaxed or not . I think that people use the term texlax or texturise to describe the result of the application of the product ( relaxer or texturiser) , I didn't read here that when you texlax or texturise you are natural ....
Please don't be angry some people want to have advice it's one of the purpose of the forum .
In french we say : restons ZEN.![]()
Theres no such thing as texlaxing, its a relaxer!!! you are now relax, whats wrong with saying that you are relax. There are naturals, people who get texturizer which are still chemicalsand then there are people who are relax, IMO, I think people who go from natural to relax dont want to come to terms that they are relaxing again, oh i'm going to just texlax, sweetie you are relaxing, you're no more natural..... Can someone please set this straight.... I know i'm going to get some mean responses, but whatever...
ok its not that serious everybody its a question??? Are we not allowed to askk questions??
There were no questions in your post...clearly a bunch of statements...but I digress.
If that is the case then we don't need to distinguish between relaxed or natural hair either since they both have the same requirements.Yeah, that is true....
And i know that it is very helpfull to know the difference between being relaxed all the way and not and how bone straight hair needs more care and to help expain how people have washngoes, healtheir hair, thicker hair even though their relaxed and ect....so i do think the term is usefull.
But, i still think its kind of "too much" to consider texlaxed hair a whole different category from just plain relaxed in terms of protien/moisture requirements or regimen help...because no-one relaxes their hair the same,....Someone can call themselves texlaxing leaving 50% of the curl, another 30% another 70%....So the general rule after you've relaxed your hair is to make sure your hair has enough protein, and balance your moisture. So it really doesnt require any different rules in that sence to me, which is what i see alot. I dont think you can really "help" anyone any different in terms of moisture/protein if their hair is relaxed or texlaxed, their still going to get the same answeres.
I think the statment box does ask a question![]()

Mook you crazy![]()
Im in a really good mood and this thread has kept me laughing this morning.
here on the boards we are allowed to ask questions and we are allowed to answer questions. Most people know that IF they want to be a natural they have to stop relaxing--you cant be both a relaxer and a natural--we know
. sounds like you were venting, want to talk about it?
you can always PM me...I haven't been PMed lately anyways.
ooh...plums, peaches, grapes, avacado, oranges, pomagranates oh my
Irres, send me a fruit basket for thanksgiving or christmas...please![]()
Well...if one sees a question, one is likely to open the thread to see that there is a further explanation of said question. Your "explanation" rudely insinnuated that those who texlax are in denial about relaxing. That is what angered most people.
Furthermore, you are the one who knew that your statements would anger some...why are you surprised at the "seriousness" in which your statements were taken?
Say what you want, I won't be back to respond. Have a great day sweetie!![]()
