Don't forget to follow it with a good moisturising DC![]()
I usually add honey and essential oils if I am conditioning with mayonnaise.
I don't know if it counts as a DC, but my detangling mix has a healthy dose of mayo. I don't use heat with it, but because it takes me so long to apply it and detangle, it's on my hair for around an hour. I mix equal amounts mayo and conditioner, maybe a few squirts of oil. I slather it on in sections and detangle my hair. Then I wash with shampoo and I may or may not use conditioner after this. My hair feels really great after shampooing the detangling mix off, so I don't think the conditioner is strictly necessary. But my hair doesn't seem to be in any way protein sensitive.
I know a lady that does this. Her hair is amazing btw. She said that she applies the mayo, without anything added to it, to her hair for 30 minutes. I don't remember if she follows with a moisturizing conditioner or not but I would.
I did it once , and it STINKS!
HTH lol
Poodlepizzared (I like that name),
What exactly is a "prepoo?" Also, what type of intensifying products do you use?
