I read this and I just thought it was funny considering how many of the ladies on this board have gone through something similar.

(I would never go up to a celebrity and just touch their hair though - WTH is that about??)

And on another subject, Gisele said she's tired of everyone thinking that she isn't 100% real!
"The other day, a girl on my plane was pulling my hair. She was like, 'I just want to check…' "This is all my hair, by the way. I did not have extensions."

I feel bad for her. Other people sticking their hands in my hair is a pet peeve.

THank you so very much for posting this. I KNOW we are not the only ones who wear weaves and get "weave molested"

I have seen white girls in a ghetto beauty supply store buying 18'' weave. I have seen a Hispanic girl working in the beauty supply wearing a weave.( She admitted to it). As much as the story goes on about black women, THEY wear it, too. But, no one should get a weave check. Whether it is yours or not, doesn't matter.:nono:

I think because we're more accustomed to seeing other races with long hair they often fly under the radar - but after doing some research into them online when I thought about trying it I saw Asians, Hispanics, and Caucasians getting alittle extra put in. I think it's funny that it's become such a part of social consciousness though that nobody safe from grubby stranger molestation/weave checks.

I did a weave check for a white lady at the gym once. She asked me if any of her tracks were showing. :lachen:I suppressed my laughter, fluffed a few areas for her, and sent her on her merry way.
