Has anyone tried this? elaborate please. pictures are VERY welcomed. :yep:

havent tried it? try it!

I do this most of the time. It works just fine for me. The straightness is achieved by using the flat iron so there's no need for the heat from the blow dryer.

However, I allow my hair to air dry about 90% before I use the blow dryer.

Just about every picture of my hair straight is the result of a cold blow out. It works. There is no heat damage and no guilt and it works just fine. I always towel dry my hair, no rubbing or anything, put my product in and go from there. With the dryer. My hair comes out straight but fluffy.

VERY interesting!!!

Great thread OP.. I like the way my hair looks after a blow out as opposed o air drying (and all the tangles that go with it)..so I will be trying it. If it works, it will be a keeper- as Turnergirl said, there's no guilt or heat damage involved.

I'd probably air dry 70% then do the blow out on the cool setting on my blow dryer.

I'll let y'all know how it goes when I do it :Rose:

I didn't know this worked! I'd swore off blow fryers but I might have to give this a try one day, thanks ladies

i may try this as i was planning on flat ironing my hair next weekend for my friends b-day.

Glad to have sparked interest ladies!

You know how some WET set right?
What about blow drying it while wet but slightly taunt?
What about using the hair brush method? (this is when you roll the brush all the way up and let it sit there)

I think Moisture block would help.

Girrrrrrl... I think you could be onto something....

Please elaborate on the hair brush method...how is this done- never heard of it before... TIA :Rose:

I just bought a Conair Yellow Bird dryer, and one of the features is a cool switch ( as opposed to button ) so you don't have to hold it down the whole time. So once I take out my 'rows I may try it.

I seen it on style network. I guess its pretty regular with caucasian people.
You would need SEVERAL brushes.

Take a section, detangle, brush it with one stroke until the end then roll it under or over to the root.

I guess you can keep rounding the brush while drying the length downwards then roll when its almost dry or to add body.
