I'm finally taking my Kinky Twists out tonite. I haven't decided if I'm going to do an overnight pre-poo, co-wash, try my Indian powders, or shampoo with a DC :spinning:. Do you have an suggestions? Help me out Ladies.

maybe shampoo if you feel you've got a lot of buildup? :yep:
i think an overnight prepoo and a DC would work fine even without the powders, but if you've been itching to use them, i say go for it.

I would wash w/ castle soap, then aphogee (the kind that you let dry till hard and rinse out) then I would follow up w/ a dc w/ QP Dpr-11 mixed with powders, honey, oils mixed in. Now it really depends on how long you left them in for, and what condition your hair was in before you put them in. But when I was wearing braids on the regular, that was my routine basically.

Thanks! I don't think I have a lot of build-up, though. I washed my hair last nite. I know I'll be spending a lot time detangling :perplexed.

I've had them for a little over two months. My hair was severely damaged before I got the twists. I've been co-washing atleast twice a week and moisturizing daily with S-curl and coconut oil.

I took out the twists but now I have to fight with 23 weeks worth of NG.:crying3: I detangled, shampooed with CON (green bottle), then DC'd with LeKair Cholesterol. Now my hair is a little hard and the shrinkage is a beast!:wallbash: I'm seriously fighting the urge to get a relaxer but I really want to learn more about my natural hair. I'm hoping to have the chance to use the coconut milk/lime mix or the yogurt mix tonight. If not,I may try some of Indian powders. Any suggestions?

I'm going to try to post a pic of my shed hair later.

I have big hands so I was shocked to see this much:

Is it normal to have this much?

The amount of shed hair you have there looks about like what I usually lose when I take my braids out. I might possibly have even more! Scary, isn't it?!

That amount of shedding is fine! Your hair was not combed in over 60 days...
I lost so much more hair than that- I almost cried.
