OK ladies I have been doing the C&G Technique and I do love my braid but I do not like sittin to get them so a thought came to me the other night get crochet braids that is when you braid all your hair down like you are getting a full sew in weave and put the pre braided hair threw your already braided down hair with a pink and light green hair crochet needle your hair is protected and you have the look of braids in like two hours I use to wear them all the time but back then I was not in to taking care of my hair if I can find a old pic I will post so you can see what it looks like

Trip to the past huh? LOL Well how about the future?:lachen::lachen: LOL There's STILL some who wear these type of braids around where I live. I know because I do them on their heads if requested.

I used to wear them as well, and I mean ALL the time too, and never had a problem with breakage or anything like that. I actually LOOOVED them, and they held up pretty well. I just hated taking them down but I knew they needed to come out to get some air and some much needed washing. And then maybe about a week or 2 later, they would go right back up in them braids again LOL!! That's just how much I loved the convenience of wearing them!

But now? I'm unsure if there's anything wrong with it. I mean your hair is protected underneath the braids like you said. I would think that as long as you keep your DCing and moisturizing game up and as well as cleansing your scalp/braids when needed, I don't see how it should be any problem. Just make sure your own braids(real hair) are not too tight to let the crotchet needle slide through smoothly without the ends of the needle catching on some of your hair. That green and pink one is a good one since it has that lil latch that closes. Whereas, they have those pastel yellow ones that doesn't have the latch on it, and it's a crotchet needle alright, but not the kind you supposed to use on the hair! And those are the ones that will more than likely pull your hair out, and they're sold in BSS, makes no sense to me at all!

I wore those for about 3 months. The were quick, easy and rather inexpensive.
