When I was relaxed and then texlaxed everytime I used this I had:
1.Uber burning
2.Horribly underprocessed hair.
And not..."texlaxed" underprocesse as texlaxing was what I was trying to do.
Under processed as in: makes hairly curly hair and tangled, dry, mess with a half-curl, half-straight, half-GONE hair texture not found in nature.![]()
I would agree. Most of the stylists I went to said it wasn't a good relaxer. It made my hair break off all over the place.![]()
Thanks ladies.....
I ended up going with Silk Elements No-Lye Sensitive Scalp. Can we say soft, silky hair???? No burning! I will chelate my hair to rid the calcium. I was suffering with lye relaxers because I thought they were better for my hair at the expense of me burning like crazy. I may have to stick with it...unless you ladies know of a lye that doesn't burn...
I have very sensitive scalp also and i think I tried every lye and no lye out there. I decided to stick with lye and not risk the calcium deposits on my hair. Why don't you just base your scalp the day before and the morning of? That has really helped me to combat the scalp irritation that i face with lye relaxers.
