If you use the same hair products for a long time, your hair will get immune to them? I've heard from someone before and I always wondered if its true

I don't think so - I think that the issue that makes your hair 'immune' is actually build-up, and a quick clarifying treatment will set you straight.

I have no scientific proof;only what I've read about happening to members here..some have said it does happen. I change up my product usage according to what happens to my hair.

I've been told this. I complained about seeing new growth a few days after i relaxed(pre-LHCF) and a friend told me thats because my hair was immune to the relaxer because i had used it so long. I ignored her though. but i've heard it from people.

This is what I've heard. My sometimes beautician told me this. She's good and open-minded. She bounces ideas off me...I bounce ideas off her.

Sometimes after using a product (shampoo/conditioner) for a while my hair will stop responding as well to it.
It just seems that my hair appears to become 'used to' a product after continual usage.:ohwell:

I agree with Justkiya. Repeated use of a product causes those ingredients to build up on your hair so you don't get the same effect after a while. That's usually new products seem to work really well, at first. I think its ok to use the same products and just clarify every few weeks, or more often if you use a lot of styling products.
