Welp, I have read from a member that honey keeps moisture attracted to her hair. I think they same thing goes for glycerin. Is there anything else?
caramel maybe?

Excuse my silly question.
Honeyquat...

Honeyquat is a naturally derived quaternized conditioning agent made from honey with excellent moisture binding capabilities (far more powerful than glycerin) for use on skin and hair in both leave-on and rinse-off applications. It is substantive and moisturizing and with it's low molecular weight, able to penetrate hair to provide its moisturizing benefits over time while providing shine and luster. Honeyquat will improve wet-combability of the hair and reduce static buildup when dry combing.
I meant look up at my post aboveJanet!
Now Kiya is the mixologist. I just pour a half a splash in my conditioner and my daily moisture spray so far...I'm sure there is an idea amount. I but I use the guestimation method...ok, so how exactly do you use this? add to conditioners like ladylibra adds honey to her conditioner/water mix? add to leave-ins? use small amount by itself? not sure. lotioncrafters said recommended usage level = 2=5%. i'm not a mixologist...what does this mean?![]()

I got mine in the mail Tuesday and I used it once. I read that using it over time gets you the best results. My moisture balance is excellent right now becasue of aloe mainly so anything else will be gravy. I think aloe and honeyquat will be winners for you too since you are transitioning. mix the two in a spray bottle with some distilled water if you are wearing a non-straightened protective style. You will get moisture without buildup. If you straighten use it as a leave in and seal with a light oil like sweet almond or jojoba if it's not too heavy for ya! That's my humble recomendation. Put it in your DC condishs too!where kiya at?i need some help!
has it helped you in any way? how so?
Yes, Aggie is the other expert that I neglected to reference! Thanks Aggie!!I love and use honeyquat as well. I add approx. half a cap of it to my daily moisturizers, conditioners, my Mega Tek cell rebuilder mix, my co-washes, and my water spritzer that I use on my hair. For every 10oz bottle of conditioner or water, the recommendation is to add from a 1/4 to 1/2 an ounce of honeyquat - this is the easiest way I measure it based on the lotioncrafter.com instructions. I strongly agree with the bolded. Aloe is a really big hair product here in the Bahamas among those who wear their hair natural although we grow it in our yards down here. The bottled variety are just as good. I bought some of the aloe vera gel and the aloe oil from www.fromnaturewithlove.com to see what the difference was. They work the same, but the aloe oil last longer and you don't have all the issues with mold builing up in it. Of course, I refridgerate my aloe vera gel for longer shelf life purposes.
By the way, honey quat is water soluble and does not mix well with oils at all but it does mix well with my moisturizers and conditioners.

http://www.fromnaturewithlove.com/product.asp?product_id=oilaloe&searchflag=1Great info Aggie. Which one would you recommend that I get? I am leaning towards the aloe oil for myself (I am relaxed, and the aloe vera gel (for my dd; she's natural).
